He could beat anyone in a one off but giving up 30 lbs every fight would take its toll on his body.

And I can't see any manager being excited about their man weighing 30 lbs below the division average. Just not something they would let their investment take on. In his own time, Tyson was still shorter than average but fell in the average 210-225 range.

You´re absolutely not getting what I wrote:

"Extreme strong endomorph physique. He could even carry 240-250 at 5`11"

the "normal", non-trimmed, non-athlete person possessed. With the difference, that the average 6`1" fellow would look twice the size of Andy Ruiz at that weight. Thick big boned structure. Like I said before, he was short for his weight, not "small"."

He wasn´t 217 the way Bert Cooper was. Or Evander Holyfield. He ballooned in weight quickly and had to make weight to gather that fighting frame.

Do you think David Tua would be small at 217? I´m sure he could make that weight too. Both guys had a strong big frame. That sentence includes the word big for starters.
I already said: Compared to today, MT had a weight disadvantage. I quoted the phrases about him beeing "small".

This. I'd favor him over Joshua, Wilder, Klitschko, Fury, in one-offs but giving up that much per fight will take it's toll on anybody.

Yeah, and my question was why the need to mention "250 at age 21" ?
Tyson at 250 is similar to someone saying they saw Marciano looking decent at 215 or whatever, for an example.

Tyson had a big frame, yes. Or a big musculature at least. For a 5'10 man, he had both.
    217 pounds and lean.
No need to waffle on about "250".

"He ballooned in weight quickly" just means he ate a lot.
He looked fat when he went to jail in 1992, probably around 255 pounds or so. When he got out of jail in 1995 he actually looked slim, was probably ten pounds under his fighting weight at least. None of which matters. He was legit 217 in his prime fighting weight, no need to over-complicate it.

    Good lord unforgiven!!!!!

Both were endomorphs. But Tyson BMI was like 30 to 31 and Rockys was 26 to 27, both like the same height!
Tyson showed he was an extreme stocky endomorph who ballooned very quick. Its known these people put on muscle quick. Tyson had a thick structure and carried 250 about the body-fat-% of normal people at 200lb and way taller!
    In fact thats so rare,

Therefore I posted it, because people simply don´t understand what it means. Its an exceptional rare frame to start with, and thats not including fast-twitch muscle and god-given power.

I am not so sure you know, Mike was such a ferocious fighter and quick with it.

Like he said before the first Bruno fight, Frank is such a massive man, how can i miss hitting him.

He wouldn't have things all his own way, but i believe he would still be very competitive and beat most of the big guys, but he would have more losses on his record also.

Tyson is bigger, thicker, than Rocky, yes.
    That's why I'm saying his 250 isn't much different to Rocky's 215.

Obviously, if you were simply pointing out Tyson is far from "small" compared to any kind of ordinary man, okay, yeah, no one's going to argue with that.

Yep, thanks for meeting me at the arguments.
You could also add the tale of the tape I posted. Of course Tyson didn´t have the height and reach, but apart from that, he was pretty much so thick that his measurements are comparable to a fighter of Lennox Lewis calibre.
Its a little bit like compressing a fellow like Bowe/Lewis to a shorter height, compressing the limbs but keeping some of the volume.
People check height and reach too often maybe. If Tyson came at a Tua-like 232 and knocked some fellows out, from some point of "logic", he might become reputable bigger for some. Thats why "trimmed weight" vs. "carried weight" should be included in the size debate also.

Ok I´m done. Sorry for too much text!

Yes and Ill also add that he claimed Holmes would have beaten him in his prime. Here’s the difference though. Most of the time fighters show respect and humbleness to ones of PREVIOUS eras... not future ones.

Tyson fought plenty of tall rangy big fighters , some even had a jab, excellent mobility, could take a punch and had stamina, did not matter, they all lost convincingly while barely winning any rounds, you can count on one hand how many times Tyson was seriously hit until Douglas.

Completely washed up he still waxed big and tall Golata and Savereasy in a couple of rounds..............drugged up and shot to shid backed up Lewis in the first round............

Tyson was not a small Heavy but a relative short one...............Frank Bruno had the strength and the size of a ox and Tyson literally rag dolled him despite Bruno 's best attempt to maul/rabbit punch and holding behind the head..........nobody ever gave Bruno that kind of a total beat down in his entire career...............that peach of a shot Bruno landed in their first encounter would have put 90% of Heavies down at least or down and out as far as Lewis/WK/Aj are concerned............Tyson walked right thru it.with a brief wobble.

Tyson has the chin, text book technique, ferocity, power , dedication to beat ANY heavy that has ever lived and is like Ali ,a once in a century come around heavy weight Boxing enigma who ultimately sabotaged his own career because he could not get his demons upstairs under control.

Tyson, as an individual, has undersold himself as a boxer by default in fantasy matches. I also believe he lies opportunistically and don’t really put much stock in his words.

I don’t either. Especially when he said “ I’ll never go down....I refuse to go down. No man on the planet can beat me. “

Why dont you put Holy or your hero WK in the joint for 4 years, upon release fight less than a dozen rounds combined and put them in with a Top three fighter who focused his entire career meeting you in the Ring............

Douglas at least to the eye boxed pretty fluid and fired of some great combos and still had to get off the canvass to get it done....

WK capitulated against no skill punch bag Purrity and Brewster..........there was no finesse involved , they simply walked him down.

Tyson was also never laid to rest by a flash in the pan part time Boxing Golfer...........who never ever won a meaningful fight before or after.

Prime vs Prime, Tyson beats WK 10 out of 10............
