Don't know where and don't know the opponent. He wants someone top 15 in the world. He mentioned Victor Ortiz and Robert Guerrero.
FFS Top 15 really? Victor Ortiz hasn't fought since Feb 2018, so well over 3 years. Guerrero hasn't fought since 2019 and is 38 years old. Why not fight McKinson? Hearn just signed him, should be a very easy fight to make right? Hearn does this a lot, signs fighters when there are calls for one of his favourites to fight them and then sideline them or pretend it's a "down the line fight" to give his little favourite enough time to create imaginary distance between them... "yeah they are on a different level now" He has already done this with Benn, Marku was apparently a definite fight "down the line", Hearn signed Marku, now Benn has "moved on" and is at "a different level" It's all smoke and mirrors, it's a joke.
I love how they say top 15 in the world, then put names like Guerrero who at his best was never that good - always a fringe contender and never won a title or Victor Ortiz who was a one hit wonder beating Berto, before being knocked out by Floyd and then stopped by Lopez and Collazo back to back. It’ll be sold like Benn’s first PPV but they are both horrendous fights. Jesse Vargas or Broner are top 15 guys that he should consider, but I doubt they’d let him near Vargas and to be fair Broner would probably price himself out.
Yeah I agree. Personally I'm sick of Conor Benn, him and Hearn talk out of both sides of their mouths.. it's OK screaming "Pay Per View Baby" after winning but you need an opponent worthy of a PPV fight. Benn has been mouthing off about Broner, OK, fine, it's a better name than Ortiz and Guerrero but anybody with eyes saw Broner lose Santiago in his last fight. Apparently Broner is right on the edge and his brothers have "saved him", he seems to have constant problems with the law, he has been in jail and now he is demanding 10 million a fight. In my opinion Broner isn't stable, he isn't consistent, he may train, he may not, who knows what you're going to get. Why doesn't Benn call out real names, real challenges? Ok, I know it's boxrec and it's hardly reliable when it comes to rankings but on there Broner is ranked 17th, Jaron Ennis 16th and Virgil Ortiz Jr 15th.. So why not call out Ennis or Ortiz? Why not create a stir with other young fighters? Maybe because they may turn around and say "OK, lets go" Actually, Why not call out 36 year old Josetio Lopez who is ranked 12th? Instead Benn after going around saying he beat "a former world champion" in Formella (forgetting to mention he was IBO champion) and saying he beat an old worn Vargas better than anybody else and pretending he is right up in the mix .. why not go after somebody who represents a genuine challenge, a real fight. But we are not getting that, we are getting Benn call out a shot to pieces old man in Khan, mentioning battered old Brook and semi retired Ortiz and Guerrero. GROW SOME NUTS AND FIGHT A MAN WITH SOME AMBITION AND A CAREER TO FIGHT FOR OR JUST GO AWAY.
Sad indicator when you’re pumped on adrenaline after winning a fight and the thing on the forefront of your mind is PPV.
Yep but it's Eddie the sneaky ******* that has put these names into his head. Conor has never ever mentioned Khan before as an opponent. Now all of a sudden he's disrespecting him at every opportunity he can get because Eddie's told him to create some noise and try and lure Khan in. Conor Benn is an absolute idiot.
"PPV BABY!" Calls out Porter Calls out Khan Gets lined up to face a corpse Add in that he's got a ridiculous beard transplant that he had to help his confidence because he was insecure about his lack of facial hair, this after publicly insulting Robin Deakin and disabled people. Then there's all the humblebrags. No, I've had enough, I'm just sitting here looking at spoilt brats. Wake me when he's about to get iced by someone worthy of being on "PPV BABY".
The fact they havent even mentioned Aveneysan speaks volumes. They know what they are selling here, rack up some corpses then step up to a big name and lose in a 'brave' attempt, talk about his 'lack of experience', 'learning on the job', 'no amateur background', 'his dad the Nigel Benn lost and came back to have legendary nights', rinse and repeat. You can see it a mile off
Lol this still makes me chuckle. Benn has improved heaps and bounds so deserves a lot of credit for the clear graft he's been putting in the gym.... but Put him in with Porter right now and he gets splattered. Absolutely bonkers. Nelson hasn't a clue at time.......... Tennyson beating Tank Davis another example
This. Anyone who gets a beard transplant to feel more of a man deserves no respect and deserves to be ridiculed incessantly. He's the opposite of his Dad.
I’m slowly and cautiously getting on the Benn hype train but Ortiz or Guerrero would be a complete disgrace of a fight.
