I guess I have to disagree. Granted, I'm a blind Pac nuthugger, buuuuut hear me out.
1. Spence's jab- Big effing deal. Pac has seen it and countered it.
2. Spence's pressure- Big effing deal. Pac has seen it and countered it.
3. Spence's wrestling- Now you're on to something... however, now we are assuming that Spence has abandoned his other two plans and is most likely needing to react to Pac's gameplan.

Also, I'd like to note that ever since FMJ, Pac has picked his last 6 fights wisely and, except for the Horn robbery, was correct. Let's look at the FMJ loss. Sure he lost that fight, and maybe he knew he'd lose that fight, but that was all about money and the fans. So, whatever. Let's look at the JMM fight. From what I remember, that wasn't his first choice. Anyway, he was doing really well and was probably going to take JMM out before getting brutally KTFO. So, that wasn't in his calculations. Then look at his loss to Bradley. Another one considered a robbery. So, I think Pac chooses his opponents well. He definitely sees something in Spence. Probably that his power hasn't really translated to top tier guys, probably that he's too slow, probably that he backs up in straight lines, probably that he doesn't counter well when under pressure, probably that's he's never fought someone with Pac's quirky timing, and the list goes on...

Pacquiao probably saw something he can use against Errol Spence. BUT one thing is to see something, another is being able to put that out. I think Pacquiao saw that he's able to make at least a decent fight against the much younger Spence. This decent fights will make Pacquiao have a huge Rocky Balboa moment, being a loser that, standing at 42 years old, went the distance with a much younger champion. He will be able to retire with a big payday, setting up the future of boxing and with the international applause to fuel his presidential run in 2022.

At the end of the day, everybody loves the bravery of the warrior, especially if it's a legendary warrior making his last stand.

 

Let us cut through all the gibberish. Spence has a very good chance of beating Pac. Not because he's that good. It's because Pac is no longer the Pac from 3-5 years ago. Even then, he has been past his prime for at least the last 7-10 years. If the Spence, who will be fighting Pac soon, were to fight Pac from 7-10 years ago, I would bet a hefty sum that Pac would come out victorious.

I'm only watching this fight for two reasons. 1.) To root for the old lion, and 2.) I want to see if Pac can hold off Father Time for one last winning performance. Spence winning this fight would not come as a shock to me, rather it is almost expected.

 

And what would you have him do? Milk the Thurman win against a couple of no hopes?
Or go out guns blazing against the best in the division?
His time in boxing is coming to a close rather we like it or not.
I for one applaud this decision- you are a pound for pound fighter you either seek out a challenge or you retire.

 

Stop suckin Spence's pecker. He's a decent basic fighter thats it. Hes big, durable and hits fairly hard. Thats it. He has poor balance, basic 1,2 combos only. no footwork. below average speed.

There is alot there for Pacquiao to carve up. Even at an advanced age and a young Pacquiao would KO errol's goofy drunken ass in about 4 rounds tops.
