I watched this video about 3 months ago. Great video for those who haven't seen it. What I find interesting is that boxing writers like Bert Sugar and Wallace Matthews picked Spinks to beat Tyson. They also both picked Holyfield to beat Tyson.
Many experts highlighted that Tyson's head movement was much faster, unpredictable ie side to side, up and down and perfectly timed when an opponent threw a jab or punch. Fraziers in comparison was only up and down and very predictable. Foreman figured the pattern out immediately and timed him
Tyson talked about this in his autobiography. Cus D’amato taught Buster Mathis senior the peek a boo style. Buster Mathis Sr. made slight adjustments and taught his son Jr. peek a boo as well. Tyson was pissed because he was basically getting beat by his own style.
Nobody likes Nobody likes Smokin' Bert more than I do.... But, Tyson would stop him in short order. Bert is just too easy to hit.
Tend to agree. Cooper wasn't slippery enough and got caught by loads of shots. But it would have been fun while it lasted. He certainly could hit, no doubt about that.
By 1996, there really wasn't a "game" Bert Cooper anymore. He had no significant wins or performances after 1992. He was on a serious downside by 1996. A worse downside than even Tyson.
Listen here you old coot. I meant a game clean Bert I mean as clean as Bert can get the one we saw against Moorer In my opinion you dirty commy would make for a shootout.
