I think you misunderstood my post.
I didn't mean Wilder has ever sparked out Fury. Of course he hasn't.
I meant people have generally been wrong when predicting the Fury-Wilder fights, (to an extent myself included). If Wilder lands a KO punch we will be proved wrong again.

Nice of you to omit the reason why they did not fight.

It was because Povetkin was scared and decided to go down the route of taking drugs.

Yes I’m sure he was terrified.

Ok. So knocking out Ortiz and people of a lesser standard, does that really warrant the shouts in here of “one of the hardest punchers of all time” etc.

95% of Wilder’s record id back David Price to knock out too.

100% agree with @Scissors I’ve always said Frank Bruno could have an identical record to Wilder if he fought his list of opponents

Bruno's problem was he tended to crumble once he was hurt.

I'd actually pick Bruno to knock Andy Ruiz out too, but I don't think that makes Joshua any less good than Bruno.
Joshua showed his mettle against Wlad.

I thought Wilder proved he has a pretty good chin and heart against Ortiz the first time, to be fair.
Of course, his resume is very flimsy.

If Deontay Wilder genuinely believes he wasn't defeated I'm even more worried for him & it'll end even quicker next time....IF it happens ...John Furys interview does make me wonder if we'll see more twists yet, things obviously aren't "right"

Things obviously aren’t right because this fight is very soon and Fury is just pissing about in America doing whatever. He knows Fury needs to be 100% on it because Wilder, for all his flaws, is still a big puncher and this is heavyweight boxing.

Honestly i cant help but think that Fury is gonna get laid out. This celebrity american lifestyle isnt for everybody and rarely maintains a successful boxer.

Somebody Floyd could do it because it was mainly an act and he was a gym rat really, we know fury isnt.

I do see yours & @Heisenberg 's point. I just think on the eye test he is very unique and very little like other heavyweights both past and present in that he's so tall, light and wiry. He isn't textbook at all where as the likes of Price, Bruno etc were/are big punchers but they had to be set before they threw the big shots. Wilder can throw from unorthodox positions/off balance, he must be very difficult to replicate in sparring. He clearly has the mechanics to generate a lot of power without being set. That for me is what makes him so dangerous.

Yeah, and Fury's almost 33 now and it was already a small miracle he came back from his 2016-'18 binge.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if he turns old overnight.
I think he's been pissed off by his promoters for a while now, ever since his December fight was pulled.

The thing is though, I don’t debate that he’s dangerous I’m just not having him as the hardest (or one of) hitters of all time. When you look through at the likes of Ortiz, Stiverne, Breazeale would you be surprised if Dillian Whyte knocked them out? He’s knocked out everyone you’d expect him to really. If he stepped in with a Joseph Parker or something and laid him out then fair enough.

I really hope this doesn't happen but got a feeling either Fury or Joshua loses in their next fight...more likely Fury. This is unknown territory for a mindset like Fury, he's never defended his world title belts and he likes to feel like he's the underdog whereas this time he's expected to walk through Wilder as easily as last time. He's demonstrated a few times that when he's expected to win he can create adversity for himself.

Really hope they both win their next fights so we can see Fury v Joshua.
