That's precisely the point I made after the part you quoted :

". . . although being in there with top competition is important to showcasing just how skilled you are. If you perform well vs top competition that should be taken into consideration as it's easier to perform well against lower level fighters".

Because there's a difference between "who you fought" and how you perform OK? Too often P4P lists become an exercise in just going through the names of fighters on peoples records and comparing "resumes" (who people fought) without remembering and rating how they performed in each bout.

haha look I'm just pointing out there's more to it then just going through and comparing resumes. I'm making the point that it's primarily about a fighter's skills and how versatile he is, and how he performs. I agree Lance that resume is a part of it in the sense that you should reward a fighter more when he performs well and schools a top level fighter for example vs a guy who schools a guy who can't fight which is easier.

But at its core, P4P is about the fighter, his skills, how he performs. Top level opponents can bring out the best in a fighter and move a fighter up the P4P rankings quicker. But again it's not more about who you fight than how you perform. You could be P4P #1 without fighting top level guys if you're really that good. Like RJJ he was the clear #1 P4P for many years but at times he wasn't always fighting the absolute best guy available. That really didn't matter, he was still the clear P4P #1.

Hey, i'll save you the time of posting another 1000 words... you're last two posts aren't offering any information that's new to me. Nor is this. Anyway, P4P is akin to fan-fiction. Meaningless fan squabbling garbage...

Well except that no one has gone the distance with Crawford at 147, I guess you could say he has "struggled."

Chrissy Williams is that you? How many screen names do you have? I know it has to be you because there are not that many boxing ignorant people out there. Khan did not win a round and was trying to bum rush Crawford when he got hit low. He could have had 25 minutes to rest and he still would have quit. He was in over his head and he knew it. He was going out of there on his back if they don't stop it
