I see a tentative first round as both feel each other out with Lewis edging it behind his longer jab. Rd 2 starts off with a bang as Wlad stuns Lewis with a short left hook. Lewis replies stunning Wlad with a hard right hand and Wlad clinches, both wrestle each other and topple to the canvas. While everyone is distracted Riddick Bowe jumps into the ring and attacks Lewis! Wlad in shock stands there frozen and looks to the ref who rips off a face mask to reveal he is really Shannon Briggs and attacks Wlad screaming "Let's go Champ!" Both Lewis and Wlad are hurt and forced to hold on but while clinching their opponent both men lock eyes and nod at each other and both grabbing their opponent spin them around into the centre of the ring. Both Briggs and Bowe collide and are immediately KO'ed by simultaneous right hands from Lewis and Wlad. Both men raise their arms claiming victory and the crowd goes wild. After the fight the WBA, never passing on an opportunity to create a new belt name Wlad and Lewis the WBA tag team boxing champions of the world. Wilder who was ring side post fight is asked if he was tempting to jump in himself and get involved. Wilder replies his feet were cold and so he wore an extra pair of socks and this extra weight meant he was unable to get out of his seat but if he had been able to get up and not been involved in a game of thumb war with Luis Ortiz who was sitting next to him, he would of KO'ed both Lewis and Wlad and then Bowe and Briggs.
The moment you put any pressure on Wladimir and landed any big punches he froze or and tried to run. A in shape prime Lennox Lewis would possibly knock out Wlad just like he did Andrew Golota if Lennox was really aggressive. If Lewis fought normally he would still stop Wlad in a few rounds tops.
If Lewis can turn it into a brawl and cut Wlad off, he will probably win. If Wlad can turn it into a boxing match where technique and distance control dictate the outcome, he will probably win. The truth is probably in the middle. Either of these guys can switch the other's lights out.
Skilled misdirection, I was waiting for the sober analyses. The Cherry on Top of the Melee Sundae...Extra socks made Wilder too heavy to move lol! This is great, keep them coming man!
A draw. Wlad would win all of the middle rounds and be up, and Lewis would will this way to evening it out in the championship rounds. Contrary to popular belief, a peak Wlad would not fold against any fighter capable of bringing some adversity.
Hard to say. Both hit like a truck and are in the top 5 hardest punchers of all time. Both became great at using their height, weight and leverage to their advantage, under Steward's guiding. Manny also taught them how to protect their chins. If I was forced to choose, I'd lean more towards Lennox, as he could also brawl it out and be more aggresive when he wanted to, Wlad was too afraid to brawl and "let his hands go", as Manny put it.
Stewart would not send Wlad in against Lewis.. He knew that fight was all wrong for him. Stewart wasn't excited for Wlad to fight Chisora , his words not mine.
