I had a good chuckle. “ I don’t want your opinion but do you believe he cheated“

Translation “I’m a huge Wilder fan boy and can’t except the fact he got steam rolled. Fury cheated”

Can you spell out to us exactly how fury cheated. Maybe some theory instead of such a vague statement as he cheated.

Well that's part of it, Wilder looking for an excuse after losing and his fanboys eating that up and focusing on the glove now. Worse of all is Wilder trying to make it into a race issue. But it doesn't change the fact that his glove was flapping, and it was flapping in the first fight. Wilder should have brought it up after the first fight as anyone who studied the footage would notice it. But a lot of this is related to human psychology. After the first fight Wilder had not lost and was on friendly respectful terms with Fury. See the post fight interviews in the ring after the first fight, it was all respect. At that point Wilder had no reason to bring up the flapping glove, because it was more effective to focus on the fact that Fury was almost KTFO and Wilder didn't need to play damage control at that point.

But that all changed after the rematch, and for Wilder to bring up the flapping glove after he lost comes off as a bad excuse, and that combined with entrance costume-gate, makes Wilder's complaints less believable. But still, the fact is that the glove was clearly flapping during combat, and it was very visible in the first fight, so if he had such a problem with it in the rematch he should have brought it up after the first fight.
I think we need at the very least an explanation from Fury or his team as to how his hands were wrapped so his glove would flap like that. We hear a lot of accusations about how fighters have their hand wraps, especially since Margarito. People were quick to accuse Canelo and other fighters of stacking hand wraps even though that is legal in many states. So if people are so quick to accuse fighters of having illegal hand wraps without any evidence surely we can't be giving a fighter like Fury a PASS when you can actually SEE the glove flapping during combat.

This isn't what I'm saying at all. I'm talking about public opinion. Read the first post again.

What are you even saying? "omg his glove is flappy" what are you implying? what sort of advantage or cheat is he getting by having his hand loose? or are you implying something else like "fist in the wrist" lets hear it.

So, the effect of an empty glove is two fold. It extends your reach by several inches, allowing you to connect on shots that you wouldn't otherwise reach, and it causes the glove to have a whiplash effect when flicked causing punches to generate more power and damage.

My only experience with wrapping gloves is during kickboxing exercises at the gym, but isn't wrongly wrapped gloves hurt your hands more?

It's basic physics. It's like fighting with a nunchuck connected to your glove.

It's absolutely nothing like fighting with a nunchuck connected to your glove.

Sure it does, it can cause scratches and swelling on the face because the edge of the glove is moving at a higher rate of speed when flicked than if the fist was inside it. Not only does an empty glove extend your reach but increases your punching accuracy. It makes it easier to land a punch because the glove is covering a wider area as it flaps around. The glove connects at a higher speed since it's being flicked and flopping into the face. The glove isn't landing on the face flush it's landing in a side swiping motion.

Sure it is, it gives you a longer reach, creates a whiplash effect on impact, it increases the speed that the outside the glove is moving at when it hits you. It makes it easier to connect with the glove because the glove is practically extended into two parts the outer part moving at a much higher rate of speed during the flick. That's the part that connects.

You have clearly never worn a pair of boxing gloves in your life.
