    Checked it out. You are correct. Spinks and the announcers argued it was a slip but there was a count.

    Probably because it was nearly 30 years ago.

    That's right. Nearly THIRTY years ago! Read that and weep. 30 years ago, I had no grey hair. I had no nostril hair. Not sure if I'm recalling correctly but I'm pretty sure I had no pubic hair.

    The reality is that MANY great fighters never got off the canvas to win. In the case of people like Chavez, Tyson, Liston, Hagler, etc., it is more because they were almost rarely hurt, than because they suffered from some inherent flaw in their character/courage..
