for his second fight (after Bonin) at heavyweight.

    Former world champion

    Top 10 heavyweight

    Beat holyfield and Briggs

    Took Klitschko 12 rounds

ideal oponent for haye's october fight.

great opportunity to KO one of wlads previous oponents in which wlad failed to impress or KO.

But Sultan can be pretty quick himself and is very defensive-minded. Not ideal for Haye to make an imprint. Haye probably wants to make a slow giant fall hard.

most likely too high risk as far as sultan's people are concerned for his comeback fight.

would be a superb piece of matchmaking though if it were to be pulled off.

    Haye would hammer him.

Miles too quick, miles too good.

If Wlad hadn't been such a *****, he would have had him out of there, but as it was won every round (on my card).

Lamon Brewster would be a good choice. Former champion, still has some cache, but really looks fairly shot and primed to be ko'd.

has a big punch tho and to be honest he aint a top 10 hw and has eye troubles.

i just thought as wlad failed to ko sultan haye could get in there and make a statement if he ko'd him. IF tho.

plus he's a top 10 hw who isnt exactly gonna ko haye with 1 ppunch, ibragimovs ko's are from many punches and haye isnt a slow ploddin hw that ibragimov can do that too.

I believe Sultan does still have a Top Ten ranking with one or more of the boxing orgs, so it would get Haye up there...but on the other hand the fight with Wladimir really hurt his public image, it could be quite a hard sell even with the motor-mouthed Haye involved.

    as opposed to who?

who else will sell at the o2 arena?

no one knows who monte barret is, oleg maskaev, shannon briggs, hasim rahman.

the selling point isnt the opposition its david haye at HEAVYWEIGHT.

thats why setanta did the deal and are staging it at the o2.

Didn't Haye say he wanted to fight in November? The names I can think of that would probably be unavailable for a fight in November would be Wladimir Klitschko, Samuel Peter, Vitali Klitschko, Ruslan Chagaev, Alexander Povetkin, Vladimir Virchis, Juan Carlos Gomez, Oleg Maskaev, possibly John Ruiz, Nikolai Valuev, Kali Meehan and Andrew Golota if they are involved in a WBA elimination tournament, and maybe Chris Arreola and David Tua if they set-up a fight.

That still leaves the likes of Thompson, Ibragimov, other both might want easier comeback fights after losses to Wlad, Dimitrenko and Bidenko, although both are more up and comers and might want to avoid a fight with Haye at this point. That leaves the likes of the winner of Toney/Rahman, Barrett, Brock, Brewster, McCline etc so really he doesn't have a wide range of options to chose from in fairness.

yeah i think thy decided november now. but still ibragimov is a former world champ, ranked high. is not washed up and lasted the full 12 rounds with wlad.

where else has he got to go? he is prob ranked highest by WBO and i really believe that he wouldnt want to fight wlad again as he would not go all out for the ko the first time when he was miles behind on points.

haye himself said barrett needs to fight 1 more person to be considered as a top 10 oponent.

I haven't seen much of Ibragimov but I was unfortunate enough to catch his "bout" with Wlad. The man looks very limited and I don't think that Haye would have much to worry about so long as he boxed the man.

    Haye, brutal knobbing mid-rounds
