I'm sick of everyone praising Donaire for beating up much smaller opponents just because Donaire presents himself as this Keanu Reeve's-esque nice guy who can do no wrong. Oubali looked like a child in that ring against Donaire, and he got a really bad beating that made me actually feel sorry for him.

Donaire has no business fighting at 118 lbs, and he should move back to 122 or 126 lbs to fight guys his size instead of trying to fight the much smaller Inoue or even Rigo. He's going to continue hurting fighters like he did Inoue. He's too big for the weight and 118 pounders cannot handle his size induced power. Donaire's weight bullying at 118 lbs is far worse than Nery's weight bullying at the same weight. Donaire at 5 ft 7 inches is bigger than Paquiao for God sakes, he just doesn't have the attibutes to move up successfully like Pacquiao did.

Donaire has been much bigger, taller, and longer than every opponent he has faced since the WBSS started. Let's stop falling for his nice guy persona when he is actually the worst bully in boxing.

Donaire is massive at the weight, but to be fair, he tried and failed at the higher weights and if he can make 118 in a healthy manner, which he obviously can, then that's fair.

    He looks fat above 118.

If he can make 118lb at the age of 38, then he belongs there. He is no Chavez Jr.
When Donaire fought Walters, he was only 133lbs on fight night. 131 lbs for the Vic the dick Darchinyan rematch, which was at 126lbs, the same as the Walters fight.
Against Mathebula and Arce, Donaire was around 130lbs (+- 2lb). Those were contested at 122lbs.

Cutting up to 15lbs does not make one a weight bully. And it´s seriously doubtful that Donaire even cuts that much.
Plus Oubaali is quite short for the weight. I am pretty sure he has not fought anyone shorter than himself as a pro.

Donaire is just a bit, a bit taller than most in the division. It´s like saying Hopkins was a weight bully at 160. Dude usually weighed less than 168lbs on fight night. How many middleweights now can say the same?

How is he massive at the weight when guys at 122 and 126 all outweighed him?

Considering you have other fighters his size there and Tete who is massive and a proper example of a weight bully.... No he isn't. He had little success moving up as others have said. He's a Bantamweight.

Some people just don't look muscly when they gain weight. No matter how low Tyson Fury or Ruiz weigh, they will still look fat. Donaire is like that, him looking fat does not mean he's fat. His body just carries more weight in a way that makes him look fat.

Nery got so much flack for being a weight bully. Here we have Donaire smashing guys he has 4 inches + reach and height advantage, and 15 + lbs weight advantage, and we just clap for him as he continues to destroy much smaller opponents.

    “Weight Bully” lol.

Basically you’re saying what... that no one should weigh more for a fight than they did at the weigh in because it’s an unfair advantage?

Well, hell... Do you think no one should be in the ring if they are faster than their opponents, or stronger or with better training? Where do you draw the line?

If you can make the weight, you can fight at the weight. These are the rules... how would you change them?

Wtf did I just read? You say Donaire should move up so he stops hurting people in the ring?

It's his ****ing job to hurt people. Dont know if you realize this, but hes a professional boxer.

The way Donaire outsized Oubali was too much imho. In championship level boxing, when one opponent consistently weighs much more and is longer and taller, that's a recipe for a one sided beatdown, we saw that last week with Oubali. Are we just gonna wait until Donaire wrecks another opponent that is much smaller?

Weight classes exist for a reason. You don't have weight classes based on strength or speed, and at the level they are fighting you expect both boxers to have trained for a championship level fight so who has "better training" should not be a point of contention.

Sorry but, yet again you are talking complete and utter bollocks. You're actually slagging off those fighters who choose to dedicate fully to their profession by staying in shape, not ballooning in weight between fights and basically living the life.

Donaire is a consumate professional and a fantastic example to other up and coming fighters and a role model I'd be happy for my kids to follow.

His performance against Inoue should tell you all you need to know about Donaire; a warrior with the heart of a lion and genuine ATG/HOF'er material.

He was beaten at SBW, FW and SFW.

He's gone back to a weight he can beat the best at.
