Why are we basing a weight bully on "he looks big" ? ****ing fundora should be a heavyweight then. You make weight if you make weight. We had countless guys looking "too big" for their weight way back then. Power has nothing to do with it. You're either hands of bombs or butter fists
Other than making the weight, aged 38... But you're right, Inoue beating Donaire at 118 is grounds for making him the P4P No1.
True. In fairness, Donaire was only enrolled for I believe it was one or two years then stopped. But he was the first to do it, big praise there.
Rigo is 5 ft 3, I think Oubali is about the same height. However Rigo is a physical beast despite his height, and is much more skilled than Oubali.
Weight bully is a dumb term in this scenario. Much like its a dumb term in every scenario. If you can make the weight, then thats your weight. its amazing that its only when people dont like a guy and he wins, hes a weight bully. If they like someone and he loses, he was "drained at the weight"
I prefer "weight" bullies over "wait" bullies. Sick of waiting for big fights. Marinating. Building interest. **** that! Just best fight best, we're sick of waiting a decade for mega fights.
He looked bigger than the French. But what actually make the difference was the gap in talent. The kid didn't belong in there was nonito, not even at 38 years old. That's my take on the fight. He made history and all that, because they are a least three champions for every division. he clearly lost against the real champ. So just lets take this win with a grain of salt. stay safe.
I thought the term weight bully was reserved for fat ****s who just lean on you and swarm you and pummel you into the ground cos your about 20 pounds heavier than them in the ring and you can't hurt them. Not for lanky beanpoles who sit back and throw full power counters trying to take your head off...Donaire isn't a weight bully ...he's ****in sexy is what he is lol
Being a weight bully is a thing. The whole purpose of weight classes is to even the playing field. The day before weigh in was implemented for health reasons. However, it has allowed for some to fight at weight classes they otherwise would have absolutely no business in. Chavez Jr. is a great example of that. He would gain 20lbs by the time the fight started. Some attribute this as being a skill, and It sort of is, I guess. Some are fast, some are strong and some can manipulate their weight really well. However, it´s basically a loophole. As I said, the whole idea behind weight classes is to even the playing field. Some have the tools to cheat that.
