YOu should think before posting to prevent looking like a Clown....unless you like rocking the "Clown Look".
Please post a scorecard, oh thats right you cant because there's no scorecard in the world that can justify Mosley getting a draw much less the win.
cotto came back w/a tremendous left hand out of the southpaw stance that also stopped mosley dead on his tracks that round!
Cotto was hurt by a clean right hand and he backed up against the ropes but he wasn't staggered and Mosley wasn't about to finish him off
i thought he staggered cotto, but if the ring wasnt so messed up an wet i thought mosely could've finished him POSSIBLY, but we will never know. Mosely just like roy jones or any fast athlete rely on hand and foot speed with a suprise element take that mobility away then u have him chasing cotto stationary. Mosely even mentions after the fight that he thought he was fighting on sponges. But i give cotto much props for win, I scored the fight a draw that couldve gone either way people look over alot of body shots mosely landed that seem to have cotto doubled over, maybe thats what effected his stamina in the fight, i dnt know but thats the first time i seen cotto running from a opponent.
LOL.....Clam your nerves you clown. I didn't say Cotto got a gift! He just lost to a better fighter and there is nothing wrong with getting beat by an ATG like Shane, Actually Mosley by two points 115-113 on my card. I mean...it's just a boxing fans card. The official card is what means the most even if it wasn't correct. It was a good scrap but Shane had Cotto on his heals the later part of the fight and although Cotto did a decent job of staying away and boxing in spots he did little to win most of the last half of the fight. There is no need for me to justify Mosley winning bc the jsutification was in the fight. Cotto did a GREAT job himself but I couldn't give him the "W" with how I saw the fight go down.
man, I dont know about this Mosley won stuff. I watched the fight 4 times, twice on mute. I had it at worse, 7-5 Cotto, but on fight night I had it 7-4-1even for cotto. I dont even see how people could make the fight a draw. I think its obsurd that people actually think Mosley won. Cotto landed by far the better punches, and those rounds where people say Cotto was "running" are ridiculous. It's clear to the unbiased person that Cotto was easily outboxing Shane while moving backwards.
Name the 7 rounds Mosley won is all asked every person who has said that Mosley won in their eyes I have yet to see a scorecard from someone.:verysad
really though dude. 7 rounds for mosley is obsurd. there is no way. I'd like to see that card too. If he doesnt have it, then he can rewatch the fight this weekend. I"m with you Benny, everyone who says Mosley won has never said what rounds he won, while people how had Cotto winning have supplied cards.
JL they won't do so because they know that Cotto fans can easily post the parts of the fight on here which would make them look stupid.
Man....I don't know about you but I tally up my score cards on a napkin or sheet of paper that gets thrown out or lost in the course of a drunken evening. All I know is I have the fight on DVD and watched it 3 times since the initial showing and my score card is the same...115-112 for Sugar. I think I had it 114 -113 for shane on the first night with some black label in my system. I'll watch the fight over the weekend again and keep my scorecard. I'll post it when I get to work on monday. But I'm sure it won't change....Shane controlled the majority of the fight and had Cotto on his heals boxing off the back foot with LIMITED success. I think Cotto controlled the majority of the intial rounds but some were close....the later round mostly went to Shane. Not that cotto didn't pull out a round or two later in the fight. What was your score card like.....if you keep them.
If I had record and kept score cards (although I have no clue why anyone would keep old score cards) I'd post them and if I kept notes they'd be included. But it's not a science to judge a fight, there are prefernces. I prefered the way Shane was able to control the fight and take Cotto out of his game. Cotto is normally the aggressor and Shane was able to get Cotto out of his comfort zone. I will say I was impressed with how well Cotto adapted to his new role as the Agreessee, but he was loosing fighting off his back foot. Most of the early to mid rounds were close but I think Cotto was landing harder shots while Mosley landed at a higher connect percentage. I Like both fighters but i don't have a preference. I judged the fight with an unbiased POV. And teh end result was Shane taking the "W".
Here's my scorecard that I posted on a previous thread I made. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64656
