Vitali might not have been as big of a puncher, but his punches still did enough damage and he threw them from more awkward angles.
Looking at your posts, you do not know ****. George beat Frazier with the long range uppercut. Vitali has no clue of throwing an uppercut, or at lest anything near as effective George. Your comparison with Vitali is silly
Prime Joe on his best night can win a hard-fought decision. I give him the edge over Klitschko in HW rankings for reaching higher levels (beating Ali) than VK did, he showed immense heart and being a 15 rounds veteran, but h2h it's a tough bout. He's not knocking Vitali out, imo. If they had two bouts in a career, I think prime Joe and prime Vitali would be something like 1-1.
Why ask questions? Do you not know who Vitali has beaten? In case you're too lazy to look it up, no one of Ali's quality is the answer. For me, Joe on his best night can win and he beat Ali so, of course, Joe wins on quality of opposition beaten, but it's a still tough bout h2h, imo. Vitali has about 8 inches on him, about 6 inches in reach and outweighs Joe by 40 pounds. If they met in their primes, Joe could win, but it's on points imo, but likewise, there's a possiblity Vitali could also win. If they met in their primes, I can see a 1-1 split. There, that's my answer, my opinion and it won't be changing.
Vitali would be problematic for Frazier. Vitali is constantly moving, circling his opponent, his footwork is very underrated and far superior to Wlad's. Vitali won't just be some big lump and there to be hit, he'll keep turning Frazier making him work, though of course Frazier could set a pace that would overwhelm many heavies. But Vitali would cope with Frazier's work rate better than any other super heavy as he too set a high pace often throwing more than 60 puncher per round. His movement would take away some of Frazier's pressure and I think Vitali could cope with the pace set when Frazier was able to work. Then of course there's the size disparity. 9 inches in height is a lot to give up and punching up at that angle will take some power off Frazier big punches and even then Vitali's chin is granite. Plus Vitali knows how to clinch and extend his arms to frame guys to maintain distance. While he won't push and shove like Foreman did to disrupt Frazier his ability to control his opponent is good enough that Frazier can't just walk in even if he does slip under and get close. Vitali UD or late stoppage.
Ok, you say that based on what? He lost against the best guys he fought... an old/poorly conditioned Lewis and Chris Byrd. And his best wins are not impressive do not you agree? There is little basis that he can beat somebody of the caliber of Joe.
What's funnier is that Bean lasted until the 11th round against Vitali and was stopped by the Ref, on his feet. Yet, according to some, Vitali would emulate a Foreman-like destruction of Frazier. It does make one wonder...
