Rumors say that they will face each other in august. Very interesting fight for me. They fought in the amateurs 3 times and Yoka won 2 times. I think this time Joyce will win.
I agree. I think Joyce is the better pro at the moment. I also saw their Olympic Final and thought Joyce won, although Yoka got the decision.
So did I - it was like body punches didn't count at all. In a pro fight over 10 or 12 rounds, I think Joyce will walk him down and stop him late.
I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m sure Yoka will continue to fight in France and build his record against much lesser opponents than Joyce.
From what I've seen of both of them as pro's I'd favour Joyce. His style is more suited to the pro ranks and pro judges will favour his high work rate and aggression more in the pro game than the amateur ranks. Yoka's defence is simply to adopt the high guard and that's not going to work so well vs the volume and variety of shots that Joyce can throw, he'll be forced into a shell and out worked.
I'd favour Joyce but it would all depend where the fight is? If it's in France and it goes the distance then I would assume Yoka would get a decision, likewise in the UK if it went to the cards I would assume Joyce would get a decision. I think it's one of those sorts of fights, the location would be a huge factor.
