Floyd drained Canelo into mediocrity ... just as Canelo does today to his own opponents.

Mayweather was a couple of years past his prime (not shot) and Canelo was a couple of years away from entering his prime (not green).

    That’s how I see it.

People like you try to rewrite history. Pbf was 36 he was old and faded he wasn't prime those are facts. His his last prime fight was in 2009 against jmm. What he said is absolutely true. Canelo was the champ 23 and this was supposed to be the passing of a the torch type fight but that didn't happen. Look at loma-lopez for reference except loma was younger than pbf and Lopez was younger than canelo. Loma couldn't beat the young lion but pbf did. Not only did he do it but he did so easily against a much bigger man. That win over canelo keeps aging like fine wine.

I bet he thinks Sugar Logan Sweet Hands Paul is in his prime because he's younger than him.

Has anyone ever confronted Floyd about his comments regarding fighting opponents at catchweights before?

Every great fighter has one last great fight in them. Alvarez was Mayweather’s. Alvarez practically had as many fights as Mayweather, was the champ and yet he was “green”. You may not like Mayweather personally but you have to give him credit when it is due.

    Ofc no.
There are multiple factors that differentiate even Valuev from Canelo.
Valuev was according to internet posters not ideal boxer and still his legacy is fights as a professional in 12 countries, majority of them were pro western U.S friednly countries.

    1. Testing.
    2. Hands wrapping : inspection and procedure supervision outside of US, especially Nevada and Texas.
    3. Gloves inspection in depth and I do not have there in mind empty talks, just according to fight contract in country where Canelo is not hometown cash cow.

Canelo had used cherry picking and moving between weight classes and canelo weight with a glance, also in some cases short training camps for his opponents and also smart cherry pick for his career. Congratulations to Cash Cow vs Khan for example, Canelo in this fight induced instinct to vomit for me, sorry he never will be world champion for me after these comments and his amazing fans yelling about clen skills here.

Very true but people don't like pbf so they won't give him his due that was arguably the best win of the last decade. Hell people already saying pac is the GOAT around here when his resume doesn't prove it because they love him. This stuff is a popularity contest at this point and disrespectful to boot. How the hell is pac even greater than srl? When srls resume is 1000000 light years better.

so you want fighters to willingly make less money, by fighting in different places, to satisfy some paranoia youre feeling about shenanigans that may or may not be happening? if you have proof of corruption, show it and stop the steal.
and i dont know what you were hoping for or expecting from all those fights you mentioned. i knew exactly why and how they happened.

In retrospect, it was very well timed.

Hopefully he turns around and does the same thing in few years.

It's funny because history is filled with the younger guy getting the torch passed and at the age Canelo was (Floyd himself did it, Oscar, Vargas, Tyson, Benavidez, even Teo recently.....), Canelo wasn't good enough, despite the fact he was already a world champion and had been a pro for nearly a decade. Too green, but a beltholder and pro for a decade? Floyd was clearly past his prime and two weight classes from his best.

Still it would be an interesting fight. I dont remember that time good, but i think there were countless speculations, that he ducked Margarito. Is it true?

Clenelo is prime right now. At 168. He would commit a legal murder in the ring against the Floyd that fought a drained Greenelo.

Clenelo would break Floyd's shoulders and most likely his head/face as well.
