Most fights will be at daft o’clock but will be good for the likes of Josh Taylor.

    This is good news.

For some reason U.K. promoters in recent years have greatly reduced the quality of opponent for the home fighter. We see very few opponents now even with a winning record on cards. The number of 50/50 exciting fights is very rare.

For some reason though the US, Japanese and Mexican promoters to name only three…. are able to put on loads of 50/50 exciting fights. They consistently find decent opponents with decent records to the level of the home fighter.

Does anyone know why this is? It is bizarre that U.K. promoters have moved down this direction in recent years, as this isn’t a good product.

At least with Top rank fights being shown we will see more competitive fights, and better opponents facing the home fighter.

This deal is only for US events. Any events held in UK shores arum will still co promote with Warren I think

Michael Conlon is fighting in August. Be interesting to see where that lands.

Maybe it isn't. I'm sure Sky would want Saturday Fight Nights featuring Josh Taylor at 10pm as the main part of the deal. Arum is a businessman first and foremost, and I don't think he'll be worried about his fighters being on Sky Sports particularly now Hearn has gone. I reckon he'll love it.

Looking forward to watching boxing on Sky again without the Matchroom bias. Hopefully the Top Rank fights are past Adam Smith's bedtime.

Adam Smith might end up flying over to America for the bigger ones. He commentated Wilder Ortiz II (and maybe the first one) in America. Maybe that was just because of the prospect of Joshua-Wilder. I can't imagine that he will be out of the frame.

Top Ramk currently do not promote in the UK. If it’s a Warren show it will be ok BT. Unless Top Rank enter the market in UK

Decent for sky subscribes but Top Rank have been awful recentley, now they should get a deal with PBC to secure all the best fights from America.

Wouldn't say awful, they have done Loma Lopez and Ramirez Taylor recently, both in-house and basically undisputed fights.

Fish eyes can’t be happy about this. What if Johnson fights smith Jr in America would that go to sky then or would it block the fight now.

I am assuming they have paid relatively little for the US only content?

I doubt this is costing the earth.

Sky doing their usual thing of a long term deal could prove tricky for Frank depending on the small print.

Don’t think this really does anything for Sky, the casual audience won’t be staying up till 5 to watch Loma or anyone else for that matter unless there’s a decent Brit involved.
