Takam seems a bit low on the totem pole for Joyce at this point, although Takam is a solid 'stay busy' fight.
I can't help but be a bit disappointed if he does fight Takam. Takam is 40 and hasn't fought anyone decent since Chisora almost 3 years ago, how much does he actually have left? But Joyce will always struggle to find decent opposition so it's not a surprise. He's a horrible fighter to have to face even if you think you can win you know your going to have a guy who just on you the whole time.
If I was Joyce, I'd go after Chisora. If he can beat Chisora well enough, he's ready to fight someone top 10 quality. FFS he almost in line for a title eliminator not 5 minutes ago. If he beats Chisora, then If I were Joyce I'd be calling out Dillian Whyte. I think Whyte would be scared of Joyce.
Joyce will win this without getting out of 2nd gear, again via a dominant jab. Disappointing choice of opponent considering Joyce's age and Takam's...
There's basically nothing between Takam and Chisora. Similar style, similar ability. This is a good stepping stone fight but I agree he needs a proper top 10 opponent before the end of the year.
Agreed... Also, Delboy would take that fight, it wouldn't be difficult to make. At his age, you'd think Joyce would be looking to accelerate a little more than Takam in terms of paydays AND building his resume up for posterity - having said that, he doesn't want to play too risky and lose his ranking...
