Alex Povetkin announced today that he decided to retire since he feels old and doesn't have it in him anymore. It's a good decision, he should have done it after the first Whyte fight.
Just as well. Great fighter, I loved watching him, but there were a lot of miles on the odometer. After a certain point you are just getting paid to take brain damage.
He could face some solid boxer in Moscow for the last fight. he could win against guys like Kownacki, Martin, Helenius, Trevor bryan.
I dont really like HW, but i cared about Sasha's fights, because he had fast hands and was a combination puncher, you dont see it often in HW.

He will enter the hall of beltless heavyweight fame imo. He was one of the big name heavyweight juicers too, which is a much bigger list unfortunately.
