    Correct decision Sasha.

A great fighter who I enjoyed watching over his long career. Never in a dull fight and always gave it his all.

    Agree w/OP.
Very good decision, and all considering, he should have retired after Whyte #1.

Excellent career, especially in an era of SHWs. I'll try to read Serge's breakdown.

As i said, the WBA belt meant more to Povetkin then it did to the fans.

Wishing him good heath, and he can now sit back and enjoy his life, with the money he has worked so hard for.

He was the consummate professional. A true modern great fighter. It's been a pleasure to watch him during his career. His savage knockouts were what made me fall in love with the sport years ago.

Teddy's an all time great at having his great fighters regress.

Whyte is more formidable than Povetkin ever was? You have to be joking.

Yeah, actually he might had great boxing trainer, gym business career straight after he get Olympic Gold medal.
He had Olympic Gold medal and World Championship Gold medal, 2X Euro Gold and 2X Strandzha Cup Gold. With such achievements is enough to start gym/ trainer career in Russia.

His Olympic Gold medal was very notable achievement for modern Russia's boxing.

Povetkin Olympic Gold Champion, the only Olympic heavyweight champion in the history of Russia - YouTube

Oh, you're right. I forgot he beat Whyte that one time. That was the one time. And I think a lot of that was for the ratings.
