I like him he was good but lacked power... really very few fighters can make it with no power. Only guys like Whitaker or Gayweather
Algieri was a solid fighter. He reached the pinnacle of his success vs. Provo, but showed true grit fighting Pac, Spence, and to a lessar degree Khan. He would have been a top level p4p if he had any semblance of power.
It's possible he was trying to squeeze into smaller weight classes hoping to use his reach (which worked against Provod), but in the end he was too skinny to have any power. Maybe he would have been better off trying to put a little bulk on and fighting at 154+, where people his height normally find themselves. If you're getting outpowered by far smaller men, something is going wrong. Another explanation might be that he was actually clean and these smaller dudes were PED enhanced. Probably a combination of both these things. Algieri is okay to listen to but he was very annoying around the time of the Pac fight, and also when he was Danny Jacobs' personal servant during the Golovkin fight.
Very good technically, had a great outside boxing game and as you saw for yourself a boatload of toughness and endurance, only lacked power which was a shame. He's also a very good kickboxer so he could probably KO most people with kicks instead in fairness to him. Also a really highly regarded nutritionist, seems a well educated and very polite guy. Generally very likeable character, hard to find something disagreeable about him as a person.
