Which would you rather see? These seem to be Taylor's options right now.

    Froch, no brainer.

One is an undefeated up and comer that deserves a chance, the other won a laborious decision over Pete Manfredo.

I don't think DiBella wants any part of Froch. Taylor has a much better shot against the easily outboxed Lacy.

no dibella wants taylor coming of 2 losses to have a fight to get his confidence back before throwing him against more riskier boxers and to be honest i can't argue with that taylor needs to get back into things and a tune up kind of fight will be good for him

Taylor needs a tune-up and that is all there is to it. I expect him to do well at 168, but there is no need for him to jump right in with a top guy. If I think like a boxing fan, of course I would prefer Froch, but if I think like a manager, trainer, or promoter, I want Lacy.

I would rather see Froch, as that fight is more intriguing to me, but I understand the reasons that they would want to fight Lacy, so I am okay with that fight too. It doesn't help Froch's chances that HBO wants the Taylor Lacy fight as well.

Just looking for a little information here:

Froch is 31 years old with 23 fights and the only name on his resume is a 35 year old Robin Reid, the same guy Lacy beat two years earlier. I've never seen Froch fight, I admit that, but can someone tell me why some are so sure that he is that much tougher a fight than Jeff Lacy. Is it that people think Lacy is done after the beating he took from Joe?

Lacy is damaged goods - he will never win any kind of title again. EVER.

Why turn down a WBC title shot against a guy you would beat 6 or 7 times of ten to fight a guy who is struggling to recover from a severe beat down 2 1/2 years ago??

Taylor vs. Froch, by far. And thanks to tonight I hope we'll get it.

I'd love to see Taylor vs. Lacy. Taylor's not as good as people think, and his chin's not too great. Lacy has more of shot than most seem to think.

I've changed my mind since this thread was originally started. As of tonight I think Taylor should forget Lacy. He took enough flack over Ouma and Spinks. He doesn't need to add fighting tomato cans to his rep. Moreover, a lot of people are high on Froch, but JT would give him a hiding.
