Where has it gone? Is it fighting bigger guys or is he off the PEDs? Or both?

    Last 10 fights:
    - Thurman - knocked down early and nearly out late. Who else has knocked down Thurman? Port, Danny? Don't recall, so maybe he hits harder than both guys? Maybe, maybe not, but he's the one who put Keith on his ass.

    - Broner - Broner was so afraid of Pac's power, he threw 295 total punches over 12, lol. FOUGHT TO SURVIVE.

    - Mathysse - Knocked out in 6. How many times has Mathysse been knocked out before? Once, by Postol over 10. Oh yea, Danny and Maidana couldn't stop Mathysse either.

    - Ask Horn about the power in the 9th, his legs was all jelly. Horn survived Pac's power in the same way Ruiz survived everyone's power, hugged his way through it. In the same way Hatton survived Tsyzu's power, hugged his way through it. In the same way Logan Paul survived Floyd, hugged his way through it. And Pac is a small man, couldn't shake off Horn's hugs like Crawford could.

    - Vargas - Put on his ass.

    - Bradley - Put on his ass 3 times.

    - Floyd - fought in survival mode, bending below the waist, hugging, running, hugging, running. He did so much hugging and running, SR. had to call him out on it. And oh, Pac's one of the very few people to hurt Floyd, perfect counter twice.

    - Algeiri - put on his ass 6 times.

    - JMM - put on his and nearly out.

    - Bradley - put on his ass again if I recall.

I don't get where these questions of "where is the power" are coming from. When you step up to fighting much bigger guys, who are fighting to survive and are world class, it's very hard to get the knock out.

Did Thurman's power disappear? One time? Did Danny's power disappear? Did GGG's power disappear vs Canelo and vice versa?

I suspect being in his 40's and in a much higher weight class against bigger guys has a lot to do with it. Plus ever since the Marquez knockout he has been fer less aggressive and doesn't let his hands go as much as he used to.

And as others pointed out, many opponents are just looking to survive such as Broner. Hard to KO an opponent who has a low output and is constantly backing off or clinching. Pac doesn't have the versatility to break down cagey or defensive/spoiling guys.

Then there's the elephant in the room of peds but at this point I'm fairly sure at least 60% of boxers and world class athletes in general are on something legal or illegal, knowingly or unknowingly.

I think Where the poster was going with the thread is where are all the knock "outs". The only one in over 14 fights has been a past his prime Mattyse. Its not the weight. Pac has been at WW for several Years now. I remember him absolutely WRECKING guys at WW like Oscar, Cotto, and leaving Shane Mosley looking up at him in Shock from his power. He is still astonishingly quick and a explosive puncher, but with him being older he has slowed a tad and as a result he is not as devastating as he once was.

1 stoppage in 10 fights. 10% KO rate(no matter how you spin it).

Tyson's opponents also fought to survive and he still knocked them out.

Stamina goes with age, the volume is not there anymore, he cant maintain high intensity explosive bursts anymore like he used to, his opponent's are allowed to breath these days. Check out his punch volume stats, they have declined significantly.

Oscar and Cotto were the first 2 opponents at WW. The narrative at the time was that Pac could t ha due WW power therefore the way to beat him was to pressure him. Both oscar and Cotto and Hatton did that and paid for it. Thereafter, everyone fought to survive. You mention Mosley but he didn’t knock out Mosley either, he didn’t knock out Margo. But both those guys were hurt and would absolutely say he has power.

Algerie was knocked out and says Pac hits way harder than Spence. Bradley says Pac hits very hard.

    Op is just dumb.

He never had one punch KO power.

it was always high volume & lightning speed to go along with it.

he did 1 punch KO hatton
But the velocity in which he threw that shot hatton had no idea it was coming, it was beautiful.

most of his KOs at welter were attrition KOs starting with Oscar, Cotto etc…
