Exhibition fights seem to be the new hot thing in boxing.

Well, why not make a third Tyson-Holyfield fight? It would be almost guaranteed to sell tickets.

I'm not a huge fan of these old boys coming back for exhibition fights however I don't begrudge Mike, he is in good shape mentally and physically. Holyfield on the other hand is slow and slurring like hell, he fought on way too long already and is closer to 60 than he is 50, he looked awful in the videos I've seen of him recently.

Tyson is too scared to take it. Holyfield absolutely owned him.

This has to stop now, it is beyond embarrassing for the sport.

Holy fields time has passed. Even old Tyson would take him to task now

I lost the will to mock this stuff after I saw 58 year old Julio Cesar Chavez with his see through old man wrinkly skin plodding around the ring in a head guard over the weekend.

I just can't take any more of this stuff.

Holyfield is broke now. He has nothing left while Tyson is getting rich. Holyfield needs this exhibition fight badly to buy things which are necessary for him to survive.

Point is, this would be an exhibition not a real fight.
If people want to pay to see two old warriors spar for a few rounds they can.
However, if they ever start making these geezer fights real, somebody is going to get killed
and that will really harm boxing or possibly kill the sport.

Tyson´s exhibition with Jones felt like a fight. It´s just that Jones did his best not to make it an actual fight.
Pretty sure that if Tyson and Holy went at it, they would go at it.

Holyfield will have to beware not to hold and hug Tyson too much since that tactic can provoke Tyson. I'm worried about Holyfield's ears might be bitten again.

It's not really a new thing, retired famous boxers in the past have done exhibitions such as Ali's vs Inoki. It's just never gotten the attention they have now or been monetized to this level before.

Nostalgia seems to be a big thing for a while now, probably because of the direction the world is taking, more unstable, more divisive, economic downturn, social unrest, Covid, Brexit, etc. People and burying themselves in to the past to ignore the present. So I guess the demand to see fighters of the past get in the ring again is just another sign of that.
