I’m still waiting to hear who the presenters, commentators and pundits are going to be for Matchroom UK. Weren’t we supposed to know by now ?
Some grumblings one of them is Joe Calzaghe. Heard another that one is tied down to another provider which is causing some of the delays as it’s one of the main names
If any of the following are commentating, not only will I be watching on mute,I will also ensure never to buy PPV: Joe Calzaghe Tony Bellew Jim Watt Carl Froch Johnny Nelson David Coldwell Glen McCrory All these guys are 100% non-stop brown nosing, hell they go so deep that they are more like brown-facing themselves. It is actually unbearable to listen to them ruin every telecast and every fight they shill over. I'll stick to my boycott of televised boxing. No money of mines will go to PPV etc. No clicks on YouTube videos of in-house propaganda, like iFL or a number of other channels. No clicks, no comments. I still watch boxing but unofficially so that there is no benefit for boxing mafia.
Of course they will, they are all about the narrative, so it's always pro Matchroom, it's a bit like the WWF and pushing one star
Yeah. He seems like a good old dude but way too annoying. Also, way too emotional and OTT from what I remember. I like the more laid back commentary style, where not too much is said so that viewers can decide for themselves who is winning etc. and also a style where you are only calling punches that actually land. So often Sky commentators say things like "right hand from Joshua" without mentioning that it completely missed. Propaganda on the level of Joseph Goebbels. Also it is non stop yapping at the pace of a jumbo jet. Other networks are not exactly perfect, but there are, and were, better teams out there. Personally I quite miss the HBO set-up. They sure had their favorites and also hated some of their own fighters (like Mayweather and Hopkins) but they were on a much better level than Sky could ever be on. Larry Merchant is the only guy I don't miss. God, he was such a bitter hater and bent out of shape.
