I'm glad they're paying him well though. He's the cash cow of the MW division and one of the biggest earners in the sport albeit he would be even bigger had he not been robbed x 2 against the ginger necromancer. He's rolling in serious coin. Word on the street is he walked away with a cool $15 for 10 minutes work against Stevie ''Jelly'' Rolls and a bare minimum of $9-11 mill against Szeremeta. He would've eclipsed the entire career earnings of a certain rival of his with those two fights alone and if not we can just throw in the alleged $15 mill he earned for the Dev fight and it will have eclipsed it by a rather vulgar margin and I'm not even going to comment on the absolute mint he earned from the Clenelo fights because that would just be downright cruel.
Canelo fans are easy to fool. They also insist that Canelo was inexperienced when he fought vs Floyd Jr. Bearing in mind what opponents he had before fight vs 36 y.o Floyd it is ridiculous and laughable. Canelo fans are giving him big credit for blown up welterweight in Khan beatup for MW title etc nonsense.
Well, the Murata fight is actually dangerous for old GGG. We all do know that Murata is Olympic Gold medalist and World Championship Silver medalist. Lesser known is thing that he was dangerous even in am ranks. He managed to beat guy who was Olympic Gold medalist, another opponent he had was 2X World Gold medalist, a guy who had beated Beterbiev in ams. Murata dropped this boxer in am fight. Taking in mind that GGG haters will attempt to play Murata as nobody who had fought no one and easy matchup. Murata am resume alone is better than a lot of up coming pro boxing prospects resumes. While this doesn't likes me, I will not be surprised if Murata will wreck old GGG. He does have real chances to stop GGG.
Amateurs and pro are completely different. Many Olympic medalists didn't and don't cut it in the pros as creme of the crop. Murata has already been figured out, his best win is a C level journeyman. Andrade or Charlo are who he should be fighting.
You assume that am boxing is only point counting. If guy is dropped, he is dropped. Murata had dropped guys in ams, also good guys. Of course, Murata had been figured out by robbing him on cards. You had forget that he KOed the same guy in next fight. Btw, I think Murata does have higher chances to KO Andrade than old GGG. He is younger than old GGG and this does matters. Ofc Murata not likely might win Andrade on cards, he should stop Andrade to get a win.
His best win is Jacobs, I agree there. His best performance though was against Canelo in the first, which could easily have been a win.
Im uncomfortable with the draw I think GGG won and the draw was a set up to ensure the need for a rematch
I thought the 114-114 and 115-112 cards were completely reasonable and fine. However, I am also uncomfortable with the end result, considering how ridiculous Byrd´s card was.
He had been exposed by hated in US boxing fanbase wrong cherry pick in Pirog. LOL, and yeah, with clenelo he went all distance, vs ggg too. Ohh, now will fall predictable excuses why Jacobs had lost vs Pirog, this is so predictable. Our boxer: any excuse is good. Enemy? = bum, bad. LOL pro boxing fans. Pirog had exposed Jacobs, beated him up and had stopped him in distance. What an upset with cherry pick gone wrong. Western excuses are valid for any thing, of course, tribal, nationalistic fanbase suits for pro boxing business.
GGG has nothing to prove. Will go down as one of the best chins ever. I thought he lost to SD, I think he should retire and ride off in the sunset.
