    Round 2

Martínez is under fire, with Córdova boldly stepping in and planting his flag with hard rights thrust in just above the belt line, setting up wild and reckless but fast and powerful roundhouse shots with both hands thrown in combination wading in, many of them whizzing through Martínez's guard and grazing him. Córdova's haphazard footwork and the occasional solid counter punch on the chin from the champ all conspire to make it seem like Córdova is on Bambi legs at times but he continues to press forward throwing bombs.

    10-9 Córdova

    19-19

Not sure how many of that kind of round El Trino can bring. If the answer is more than a few, we have a very interesting night ahead...

Wonder if we've been over-rating Martinez due to a erm...a....a win over Charlie ****ing Edwards...

    Cordova is really fancying this.

Martinez looks to have taken this one lightly or is just starting slowly.

Sosa, Rosales, Selby, Harris... pretty sure nobody rated him based on just Edwards. More the body of work and quality of (some) performances.

Eh, Harris was just stopped last night, and by Sandoval (who looks VERY ****ing good)
Selby was put down by Diale and had done nothing at world level, and with Selby AND Edwards both beating Rosales maybe we also over-rated the Nicaraguan a lil...

Whilst also over-looking Cordova's wins over Tecuapetla* and Hernandez

    Round 3
    Cordova 10-9
Martinez had one good moment with a good body shot attack. But Cordova is dictating the pace and dominating most of the action.

    Round 3

Córdova is staggered by a huge spring-loaded counter straight right uncorked by Martínez, but the moment passes and Martínez fails to capitalize before Córdova surges onward again, tagging Martínez repeatedly with chopping rights bursting through his defenses, splitting his thumbs apart with a widening crease to strap him on the nose and gob. Martínez allowing the play to be taken away from him a bit overmuch, thinking and picking his spots too much, and getting ripped with telegraphed and wide but earnest and uninterrupted barrages of power shots.

    10-9 Córdova, close

    29-28 Córdova

    Round 4
Much better by Martinez, showing effective aggression to get inside and dictate pace.
Cordova still having good moments from the outside but slightly outworked by inside work from Martinez, who looks to be landing the heavier stuff.

    10-9 Martinez

One of the most crushing knockouts I have ever seen in my entire life is when Matthysse annihilated Harris.

Martínez just edged the fourth with flusher and harder counters.

    Martinez' punches are like sledgehammers.
