What are some aspects of fighters that aren’t talked about enough?

I’ll start: Ezzard Charles’ physical strength. He would routinely out hustle and out work bigger men in clinches. Look how he operated on the inside against Marciano, Walcott, Holman, Wallace and Louis, who although was old and lost considerable speed and reflexes, still was physically strong.

Timing. Guys like Alexis Arguello and Joe Louis were excellent at setting up their opponents and getting them out of there.

Larry Holmes as a body puncher.

No he wasn’t a Joe Frazier/Rocky Marciano type who would try to make a living there, but if you watch enough of his film you’ll see a guy who routinely mixed in well-timed, well-placed body shots in more of his fights than not.

Joe Frazier's precision. For a slugger, aggressive pitbull type of fighter he wasn't crude at all. His punches were short, accurate and placed intelligently.

I also want to add Fraziers Defense. Many an opponent is on record saying how hard he was to hit clean. I believe it was the much less uneducated TV announcers that made it seem like he was easier to hit

The body punching or Alexis Arguello, Eder Jofre, and Carlos Zarate. When you see people talk about great body punchers these guys aren’t brought up enough. Look his hurtful to the body they were and how many fights they changed/ended with their accurate and painful body punches.

Fighting Harada’s jab. Joe Calzaghe’s jab and adaptability.
