I do, he may even stop buatsi late the bookies seem to have buatsi as a massive favourite, £1 on bolotniks to win returns you £6 at coral jump on board while you can, if you agree that is
Bolotnik will need a knockout to win, he will not get a favorable decision on a matchroom show. The odds are stacked against him and buatsi hasn't shown any chin issues so far.
He's been fighting SMW's, Bolotniks is a big LH and has power in both hands I think he'll give Buatsi all sorts of problems he even struggled with Calic
I'll back Ricard's in this... something about buatsi..there's a reason he didn't get let off the leash years ago
Bolotniks looks like the kind of fighter who's one shot away from being KOed at times. Has a habit or lunging in. I think there's a reason he's been chosen for Buatsi. He'll come to fight though and is dangerous, be nice to see someone rough Buatsi up a bit and put him on the backfoot to see how he copes. I'm not sold on Buatsi either, so this will tell us a lot about him (except if he manages a two round blowout). Need to see him chin checked and being put under pressure.
That's true but it's hard to see what Buatsi might become, he certainly isn't advancing at anywhere near the pace he should be. I wonder if his progress is hampered because he doesn't fight with any small niggle, would make sense that also hampers his progress learning in the gym also.
Great fight for Buatsi to use to step up to world level, but **** that Bolotniks won that tournament and is still being treated as an opponent in Eddie Hearns back garden.
If Bautsi was any good they would have stepped him up in levels 2 years ago. I agree that Botolniks may give him serious problems. But I think he is sufficiently wreckless and chinless to get taken out in time.
This is my thinking also, I wonder if it's because of this that if he is wreckless and gets caught by a bomb, it'll be a devastating KO over a solid opponent. The other side of the coin could be Hearn has decided that and also decided time to throw him to the wolves and push him along, he either sinks or swims and he wants to see which. He's certainly cooled down his advancements with him recently.
Opinions about Bolotniks to be chinless might come from some his lost fights via stoppage on paper. Expect Mchunu at CW, others looks that were due to very bad matchmaking. Bolotniks beats someone absolute 0 by local scene criteria, then gets in the ring on foreing soil vs prospect with good training on B side etc alike things. Don't know how also how really legit these stoppages were. Mchunu fight at CW: Mchunu had won rounds, then in one round Bolotniks had dominated vs Mchunu and Mchunu fooled him in manner like the same Briedis loves to do this. Landed nice counter and used effect from this. The problems for Buatsi might be that Bolotniks does punch body pretty well with both hands and Buatsi will not likely to bully former ice hockey enforcer and MT lad around the ring. especially if consider Bolotniks CW experience. Bonuses for Buatsi too there are serious: while Bolotniks looks that most likely did not had am boxing exp, Buatsi was pretty legit Olympic medalist. I think relatively realistic scenario if they will fight vs Bolotniks carefully for Bivol and Buatsi might be go for win on points. They both does have am exp advantage that isn't joke even in pro boxing. Bolotniks performed well vs really hard hitting lads who attempted to take him out early or wear out ( he is better in late rounds due to good gas tank ).
