1 week out lads. Is Zerafa actually serious about pulling the pin or just all last minute mind games?
Looks like Flografa pooped his pants. There is no reason he can use the Covid thing as an excuse, he has an expemption to travel straight to Newcastle where there is no lockdown. There was a moment a few weeks back when Tim and Zerafa had a face to face show, Zerafa mentioned Kostya's loss to Hatton. Tims whole demeanor changed to ice cold telling him not to mention his family. It looked like it Rattled Zerafa a bit as he tried to back track on it later on. https://www.foxsports.com.au/boxing...t/news-story/a10db8db01031f026d2d28fb22fdbcd3
Whats going to happen now? Could he use Wade or Troy as a replacement seeing they on the same card and should be one weight?
Unless he is injured I don’t understand the reason for pulling out. It is probably the biggest pay day he is going to get especially with not being able to have international opponents at the moment. He has blown his shot the Tszyu camp will tell him to get lost now they won’t offer it to him again. I don’t see how he could be scared he has had big fights in enemy territory before.
It would be good if they had Hardman on standby but I imagine he is taking a break after a busy few months.
Yeah just read that. Ballsy move from Sparkmang but he will only level up in respect no matter the result.
Fairly dinkum. Huni's out of the Olympics, Micky Zee doesn't want to take a ride on the Tool Train & George Kambosos' opponent has Covid. You need a good chin to be an Australian boxing fan. Fortunately, here on the Stifler's Mum thread, ours is granite. Massive respect for Steve Spark stepping up & not leaving us in the lurch next Wednesday night.
Hearing whispers the real reason for the fight cancellation is that Zerafa and our very own party boy have a hen's party to attend to that night. Michael thinking about life after boxing and couldn't pass up the opportunity. This content is protected
I’m genuinely perplexed by this move. Zerafa’s team must know his reputation will be in tatters after it.
Either there is something more to it or an extreme case of egotism from him and his team to think people would be sympathetic to his position. He is getting ripped to shreds by all sides for this decision.
Surely there is something more to it. Maybe he is underdone in training camp and not on weight. He has only fought half a round against Mundine in over two years he could feel like he is not ready for Tszyu and needs another tune up. Maybe he is not confident of winning the fight and thinks sure its a big pay day but once I lose I will lose all my sponsorships. I know it is too late for all these reasons now but maybe stress and anxiety has got to him. I think when he originally called Tszyu out a couple years back he didn't think Tszyu was as good as he is like a lot of us did and was confident of beating him but now not so much.
