Nestor Gibbs from Thatboxingvoice recently aired an interview with Chris Colbert where he asked him about Deontay Wilder, fight 3 and his opinion on the series this far...

Chris had some choice words about the excuses and post-fight antics from Wilder and his team. In short, calling Wilder a sucker, no good excuse artist and a disappointment to his fans. Not long after the footage was aired on Fighthub and TBV Wilders team contacted Gibbs demanding the interview be taken down.

Today Gibbs reacted to the interview being taken down. Gibbs said,

Nestor Gibbs implied he got a call off Wilder himself or someone from Team Wilder telling him to take the interview down.

    Gibbs also said,

Just like the Sconiers fight (where Wilder was knocked down), they are attempting to remove any bad press about Wilder. It just goes to show what sort of character Wilder is and the mental stability behind the front.

To ensure it's not wiped from oblivion I had downloaded a copy of a copy, and since saved it locally :deal:
I'll edit this post and share it this evening - unlucky Deontaaaaaaay.

I heard about the Colbert interview yesterday, but didn't have time to watch it. Was it as entertaining as people were saying?

But, I should have seen this coming. It's a sad state of affairs where team Wilder getting the interview pulled shouldn't even surprise us anymore.

edit: Thank you @Serge (from the Colbert fight thread)

 in 2021 we should almost expect it at this point...

It wasn't so much that the interview was surprising or shocking, it was refreshing to hear from someone without a bias.
Every interview we hear from fighters too shy to speak the truth as the impact on their career is damning. Take Paulie Malinaggi as a prime example - he spoke the truth about Wilder vs Fury 1 and incidentally lost his job over it.

Wilder is a modern-day cry baby with the mental capacity of a child. These antics only confirm what we already know - he's a bully that doesn't like being put in his place. The fact that he's dragging the sport with him makes him less likeable than ever before.

Very cool. Color coordinated sweater, hair and mask. Perhaps his gum was orange as well?

A room temperature IQ and a team full of sycophants make a bad combination.

I heard that they hide the video in private.

Colbert was telling his opinion about Wilder, telling the true and keep it 100%, I don't know why people are so sensitive.

Wilder don't have the right to demand to take down that video.

Crazy part is Jermell Charlo said the same thing Colbert said. He said race didn’t play a factor in the rematch, Wilder just received an old fashioned beat down. Then he doubled down on during Jermall’s fight week and implied that if Wilder thought of slapping him he would be met with hot lead. PBC can’t censor them all and there is obvious tension between a lot of fighters over opinions. This makes Wilder look weak and fragile emotionally.

Wilder is indeed a mentally deranged individual who needs help.

Just goes to show how fragile Wilder's ego is. It's why he surrounds himself with yes men. Anything negative can shatter that fragile image of himself he's formed and it's why he jumped on all the conspiracy theories that were floating around after the last fight, he needs these crazy theories to hold onto, because he doesn't have the strength to handle the truth he got beat by a better man.

Right now he's deep in his delusion and doing anything to maintain it. But when the bell rings for the 3rd fight, he again will be abruptly met the the brutal reality he is out matched. I suspect he's going to unravel quickly in this 3rd fight when he realises nothing has changed.

Ironically IF he accepted that he'd lost to the better man, he'd be asking questions like "why was he better?" and "what can I change to deal with that?" Wilder might actually make fundamental changes that would make him competitive. Instead he's gone for the "he cheated!" and "I gotta haz moar muscles!" route.

Yep true simple people look for simple solutions it's easier for Wilder to believe the delusion than accept reality and put the work in to change things in the next fight.
