So I'm supposed to keep a running tally of how many black guys are in my list? If I do a top 10 NBA players list of all time there would be 9 black guys and 1 white guy. Does that make me racist?
Why? While yeah, I do not agree with some names, still each of them does have reason why he had posted these names. Crawford dos not have so called division marquee fights at 147 lbs, still he is very good. Usyk and Briedis had proved their p4p value at CW even by fighting on foreign soil, relative rarity in modern US pro boxing. Briedis, while I agree that he is A+++++ level elite operator and actually underrated and a bit hated, might be very exciting to watch and might be very boring to watch ( Dorticos is more consistent as watchable boxer at CW ). Usyk moved up. Beterbiev does not box for judges cards, despite he is really " old " now. Inoue is never boring to watch, if he was HW boxer from US, he had been hyped till heaven, the same had happened with Usyk and Briedis and Beterbiev. Canelo and Spence Jr are good for this list.
What African American fighters belong on my list and who should they replace? If you say Estrada should I remind you he has beaten Roman Gonzalez. A man who is generally regarded as an ATG. Beterbiev? A man who has a 100 percent KO ratio and knocked out the best H2H fighter 175 pounds and below in the world.
What a joke.. Maybe tinman is a racist.. However, it so happens that the two high ranking boxers who could be thought of as being pound for pound top 10/20, Spence and Crawford, are weight bullies with very very thin resumes. But many others have thin resumes... Canelo has a pathetic resume if you don't take his resume by just names (36yo GGG, 36yo Mayweather, basic short camp lost to Ryder Callum Smith, blown up 160lber inactive hadn't had a high level fight sinc e2017 Saunders... And the list goes on.. Not to mention he should have four losses). Canelo, Spence, Crawford should not be in any rational objective p4p top 5
Inoue will make mince meat of Beterbiev if they were the same size. The skill difference is just too much.. Just point out one example
