Francis was talented but sadly injuries got in the way. That said he would’ve been drained vs Collins, reckon he’d have gassed and been stopped.
I like Francis over almost anyone, but this is Collins. He didn’t just take punches, he actually walked through them... and his right hand was so sneaky.
This was a great era, I loved it. Collins was overrated, he beat an absolute shell of Benn when he faced him. I agree he would beaten Francis, but I think he would have been given problems. Francis looked good in the beatdown he gave Seillier.
Collins was underated if anything especially by the british. He gave Kalambay and McCallum great fights. He would have always beaten Benn. His style suited Collins well.
francis at 168 before he had the shoulder problems could of koed pretty much anyone , but feel an iron chin and willed collins survives and stops francis late , actually went to watch his last fight before his passing stopped an unbeaten prospect at light heavy in his 40s , very much a case of what might of been RIP
Real unfortunate career Francis had. Immensely talented and was a cert for a world title however a serious shoulder injury turned him in to a 1 armed fighter. Collins was as tough as they come, technically Francis had the beating of him but I think Collins gets to him eventually and stops him late.
The thing is, Collins was an underrated technician as well as an iron chinned an willed fighter. Very sad what happened to Francis but he’s never beating collins
Surely this is a troll thread Dean Francis was domestic level. Collins was world class and beat up Eubank and Benn. Collins is levels above Francis!
