I'm going to omit Joe Bugner because I've never spent the time on him to form an opinion

    1. Lennox Lewis
I doubt there'll be much argument he's the best on the the list by a large margin

    2. Wlad Klitschko
Pretty clear No.2, with a long dominant run over good opponents

    3. Anthony Joshua
Putting Joshua so high probably won't be popular, but other than Vitali he's been much more consistent than the ones below him, and while he lacks the signature win, his resume has plenty of depth with wins over plenty of top contenders with different style.

    4. Max Schmeling
He holds a win over a basically prime Joe Louis, one of the best wins in heavyweight history, his resume beyond that, however isn't very deep, and he has some bad losses. I think this is the right place.

    5. Ingemar Johansson
His signature win may have bee avenged twice, but it was still a very good win. Only a short career, but few losses, and an emphatic first round KO of Machen

    6. Vitali Klitschko
Haters gonna hate. Ultimately lost to his two best opponents, an out of shape Lennox Lewis, and Chris Byrd fighting on short notice. A very respectable career, but really his brother took all the best wins, and you're left with a guy who's supporters end up relying more on fantasy fights and hypotheticals than his career.

    7. Tommy Farr
A lot of losses stops him going higher, but good wins over Max Baer, and an aging Tommy Loughran, as well as a very credible effor against Louis, and respectable wins of Neusal and Gains. I think he could operate at a higher level than those below.

    8. Frank Bruno
    8. Henry Cooper

For all the understandable fondness of Cooper and Bruno, they were basically guys that consistently lost at the higher levels

    Lewis
    Vlad
    VITALI
    Max
    Joshua
    Ingo
    Bruno
    Cooper
    Farr
    Bunger

If Joshua beats Uysk and Fury he ends up 2nd to only Lewis on my list. Those two are very dangerous opponents for different reasons.

I am going to go on record as saying that having either Cooper or Bruno above Farr, is entirely unwarranted.

He was simply a level above them.
