This content is protected Wilders costume did change the outcome of the fight but not because it was heavy but because the lights BLINDED him, see below Wilder takes his mask off at 0:10 Wilder scratcing his eyes at 2:05 Wilder STILL scratching his eyes at 3:37 (3 minutes) Wilder was basically blind for the first 2 rounds but Fury would’ve still won All im trying to say is the third fight will be more competitive than 2nd fight so make sure you buy the PPV
Bull****. I've said before and I'll say again - if Wilder had good excuses, he'd have used those consistently instead of using the spray-and-pray method with crap excuses hoping something would stick. The idea that other people could come along and find the "real" excuse that Wilder didn't even claim is laughable - especially when resorting to excuses so weak that even Deontay didn't make them.
I’m thinking Wilders jockstrap was too tight and the pressure from the jockstrap flowed upwards to his head which made his eyes water and his vision was then thrown off. Plus there is a SOLID rumor that his shoes were tied with double knots which threw off his legs.
I heard a rumour that Wilder was actually fighting with one one hand stuffed up his backside. True, it doesn't appear that way on the film. But, Wilder says it is true...so it must be, right?
Congrats, you've just identified the one excuse Wilder didn't use. By the way, you've slightly upped your game with this thread. 5/10....
People are underestimating Wilder. The man is still dangerous. He's seems unhinged - but at the same time motivated & focused. Underestimate him at your own peril. Fury too.
The presser 2 days before he looked very confident and was extremely talkative. Then at the weigh in he was quiet and didn't look like he wanted to be there. Then at arrivals and in his changing room he was tunnel visioned and pacing around like a trapped animal - meanwhile fury was dancing and having a blast. Then he got to the ring and his eyeballs were trying to escape from his head The only positive out of that experience is he did sort of get comfortable with Fury kicking his butt though and probably could have took that beating for a little longer before the ref stepped in.
The question I have is, can Fury whoop Wilder without 100 headlocks? Looking at it now, Bayless should have taken a point by he third, and Fury should have been disqualified if the headlocks continued after that. Who does Fury think he is? Bernard Ward? LOL
He always was unhinged, and he should have always been motivated and focused - he's meant to be an elite athlete, a WBC heavyweight champion. Underestimating anyone in life is foolish, but in heavyweight boxing it is especially foolish. In other words, Wilder will be Wilder. We won't see anything new. He isn't going to suddenly put on a technical masterclass, a veritable boxing clinic, because he isn't good enough. Never was, never will be. It'll be the same old Wilder, and if he wins, he'll win it in precisely the same way he has won every other fight.
