Maybe it's just me, but I never hear waist movement discussed as a key factor in a fighter's defense. There are a lot of fighters like this, but Mayweather is an obvious example. He seemed to be made of rubber, ducking, leaning back or to the side and then returning to balance in a fraction of a second. This ease of movement allows him to dodge in a blow and be able to return fire almost instantly. You even see this outside of boxing in street fights. One "fight expert/self-defense" Youtuber even made a whole video on "How to fight people who lean back". Do you see this a critical difference in certain fighters?
Waist movers: Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao in the 1st jmm fight, Juan Diaz with his hybrid pee ka boo stance
Enough of the infantile homophobia. You sound like an adolescent insecure about your sexuality, so go on the attack so you can hide something shameful-just to you. Stop bringing down this forum. If you are only concerned about self-interest, realize nobody will respect your opinion if it is merely unsupported insults that expose your own issues. The world has largely moved on from hate & fear of those with the "wrong" color, sexuality, shape... Time for you to grow too.
This content is protected did everything floyd is praised for, but better. floyd had that reach though. that bought him distance, which bought him time. if locche had floyds dimensions, he would be truly untouchable. but the technique, grace under fire, style...is untouchable, like his name.
Another skilled & elusive brilliant boxer & a honest ,decent man RIP Herol...Genius at work reflex & skills but never really appreciated imo He would switch off for a second & get complacent as against Jackson etc. maybe not quite in Nicolino league but still a expirience to watch... Usually "waist movement" is referred to as of slipping, ducking, bobbing and weaving. You never hear someone say, he's a good waist mover. Lots of greats are applauded for their bobbing and weaving, slipping, etc techniques. Jack Demsey, Joe Fraizer, James Toney, Mike Tyson, Salvador Sanchez, Prince Naseem, Emmanuel Augustus, Floyd Mayweather
Flexibility through the hips is critically important in some sports, or at least certain roles in some sports, but usually it gets identified in some other way. "Slippery" is one way you hear it described in boxing. It's frequently accompanied by quick twitch reflexes, but not always in an offensive sense. Pernell Whitaker being a prime example of that, or down the totem pole in talent Zahir Raheem. Same idea.
Dude you are lame af. I know Floyd isn’t gay, (although he is always with Ellerbe..suspicious). I call him Gayweather because it’s funny and it suits his boring, run away, hug, nullify the action, sissy fighting style
we’re talking boxing not global politics so get a sense of humor dip****... I also forgotten more about boxing than anyone here... and yes Gayweather was a disgrace to boxing with his ***** ass style and he continues to disgrace the sport by fighting clown exhibition fights
He is banned for a while, & I appreciate that others call him out on his vicious, immature Hate Speech. He had to keep insulting people, cursing at them-& leave multiple gay-baiting attacks. This is the negative dise of "old school" where casual Hate for folks based upon gender, race, sexuality, religion was more common. Now most all know that these folks tend to have weak Egos, hide from others & themselves personal issues such as self-loathing about their sexuality, are deeply insecure & need to create an enemy to feel good about themselves. If he comes back with further hate from a safe anonymous distance-a form of *cowardice*-he will be banned for a lot longer. This forum has gotten better because people like him are stopped from damaging the forum-thank you moderators.
