Fury/Camp didn't want to go straight to the AJ fight due to his inactivity, that much was obvious. The reality is he was probably lacklustre in camp, having harder than anticipated spars, there was no commercial interest for the trilogy fight at all. When you factor all 3 in plus the fact that despite what Fury fans will say, Wilder is a dangerous fight 10 times out of 10, this pull-out doesn't surprise me at all. Next will inevitably be a tune-up....
So is this fight definitely postponed? I thought fury said earlier in the week it was a load of rubbish
Yeah, definitely postponed. You can go on the T Mobile arena website and it tells you the event is postponed, coincidentally you can see what tickets are available and almost every block has tickets.
Whyte has made a suggestion and I like it. Whyte wants to fight Wilder as the promoted WBC Champ. Fury becomes Emeritus Champion. The winner then fights Fury. That winner then fights Joshua for Undisputed. https://www.skysports.com/boxing/ne...im-in-world-title-fight-instead-of-tyson-fury
Fury and wilder need Joshua to sell this trilogy.its flat as a pancake just now but if Joshua beats usyk it's going to be hyped to death again.maybe that's why move it to October? Makes sense to me.
He's a manipulative corporate sell out nowadays imo, great fighter yes but "real fighting man"people's champ"Spartan "..those are titles he doesn't deserve and would fit better on Joshua.
There was talk of it being postponed until October 2021, although I won't hold my breath on it happening then either.
I just never got the sense that Fury really fancied a third fight with Wilder, due to him beating Wilder so handily in the second fight and not seeing the point in the third fight other than for the payday. To be fair, most people feel the same way about the point of the third fight. I will believe it's going down when both Fury and Wilder are in the ring and the bell rings to start round 1.
