By dodgy I'm talking about POSSIBLE fix/dive .. Anyone got more from the last few years? The following spring to mind : This content is protected Charlo - Rosario... I mean come on.. I could understand a fighter needing to take a breather and maybe even knee from a solar plexus shot but this guy took one to the abdomen. His reaction is completely over dramatised. Ryan Garcia vs Duno and Fonseca - both guys clearly get hit by Garcia but I don't believe for one second those shots had that much in them to be essentially one shot KOs. Their reaction are ridiculous and over dramatised too. Fonseca lying down t posing staring up is hilariously stupid as well Wardley vs Lartey - Lartey gets hit with an inside glove hook to the side of the ear then goes down ridiculously and milks it getting oxygen etc... Just ridiculous blatant stupid fix imo Taylor vs Khonsong - it was well placed bodyshots but it honestly looked dodgy. Khonsong looked decent and hard hitting at the beginning. Khonsong dramatised it excessively with the whole lying on the floor for ages. I mean he could have broke a rib but I highly doubt it. That gave it away for me Canelo - Kovalev/Yildrim and possibly Smith - There's no way the first two weren't fixes in my eyes.. Kovalev forgot all his attributes in 2 months and Yildrim forgot that he was a boxer and not a heavy bag. Smith I think could have been a fix.
Haha oh yeah forgot that one.. I don't think anyone can deny that is not fix... There are multiple angles which you can Reasonably infer no punch landed. There should be some independent body that actually tackles **** like that..that is essentially frauding the public. Goes to show what promoters think of the public and boxing fans.. Disgrace
Canelo Kovalev looked very suspect to me. A bigger issue than fixes are the number of fights where one person isn't even coming to win, that is as much of a fix in my eyes, on that basis there are a hell of a lot of fixed fights involving British and American fighters that are with the big promoters
I agree... Not only that but I fail to believe the fighters on the winning side aren't in on it. I'm certain fighters can tell whether someone in the ring with them is actually trying to win..
This content is protected Seems quite apt... Not sure about his flat earth theories tho lol... Now come to think of think there were eyebrows raised with some of Frochs earlier fights
A lot of prospect fights are basically paid sparring sessions but I understand why the promoters do it Look at the Mexican, Asian and South American fighters, what they have to go through to get credibility and earn a half decent living compared to American and British fighters
For me this looked as very smart cherry pick after Kov fight vs Yarde and unlike after 1st fight vs Eleider till 2 nd fight vs Eleider Kovalev didn't had ~ 6 months time. Watch Kovalev vs Yarde full fight and you will get why he had been picked up by Canelo and why I wonder that he had lasted vs Canelo so long. Also I suggest everyone to watch 1 st fight Kovalev vs Eleider and all full this fight. You will get WHY.
To be fair, Kovalev's punch resistance was completely gone. He'd been knocked out by featherfists Ward and Alvarez and was on the verge of being stopped by Yarde. Then Clenelo imposed a short camp on Kovalev w/ minimum recovery from his last fight along w/ a crippling rehydration clause.
True, the signs were there, but still looked fake to me, the way Kov put that weak jab out without trying to hurt him then just folded as soon as he got tagged
Well vs Kovalev a lot of things might look suspicious and he was called vodka Kov for a reason. Kovalev looks that even had called his fans as dumb if they had bet on him vs Canelo etc alike. While vs Yarde he was damn surprisingly polite after fight and even had gave polite interview, I suspected that this is pre retirement interview, LOL.
boxing is pretty much unregulated and you dont have to look very far for something dogy, like try last weekend. This use to really **** me off but I understand its a business and they are really just setting up the next big fight to keep the show in business.
