Showtime: Jermell De'Avante Charlo vs. Brian Carlos Castaño & Rolando Romero vs. Anthony Yigit RBR

That was one of the most inexplicable things I’ve seen in boxing recently

 

I liked all 3 fights on tonight, and I was planning to watch only the main event. Great night of boxing. I wanna see a rematch next, but I wouldn't blame Castano if he said **** it, as he did all that and barely got a draw. Is he really going to get a decision here? A true champion should be able to come up with a similar good performance in a rematch though.

 

Charlo hardly thru a punch in rd 1 and Castano took the 12th

 

Yeah, he did the better work, but Charlo worked the jab consistently and landed a couple of nice counters. I could see a judge being swayed by that. It should be noted that Charlo controlled about 2:40 of the third before Castano backed him to the ropes and buckled him with the hook. I could see a judge giving Charlo the round based on winning most of the round, too.

 

I'm not at home anymore where I scored the fight it was like round 2 for sure but the other 2 were between 3 4 or 5 if I remember correctly.

 

Sadly all of those racist youtube channels are the biggest boxing channels on YT and they constantly say racist **** and many of them make up **** espeically that BB guy who makes up his own news stories every week.

 

Charlo didn't do anything in the 1st though, as he was standing back looking to counter but didn't until the 2nd.

 

Fair enough, I thought those were all pretty clear for Castano

 

Draw was fair. Castano was a better boxer but Charlo did more damage. Run it back

 

Rd 10 a 10-8 for Charlo? Even the guy who had Castano winning is a total clown.

 

If I'm not mistaken Castaño was winning that round pretty clearly but right at the end of the round Mell exploded with some big power shots. The only way it makes sense is if you weren't impressed with Castaño's work even though he landed more then saw Mell end the round strong. But you can't do nothing for most of the round then just explode with some wild shots at the end and expect to win the round.

 

funny how they get away with it, but the other way around you would have your channel deleted in 5 minutes. funny how that works.

 

I think you are the **** head when it comes to scoring fights. You have pre-conceived notions which prevent you from seeing what is happening objectively. Maybe you need to realise that my assessment tends to correlate with the judges more than you and others on here. Yes I strongly disagree with the 117-111 card in favour of Charlo I already said. My view is this was a close fight. After 9 rounds heading into the championship rounds I had Castano ahead by a little bit but then he lost his way and Charlo swept round 10-12 which put the result in balance. Cannot say I am surprised we got a split decision draw either. I am not a fan of either fighter but felt beforehand this would be a good competitive fight. I know you are dissapointed because you were rooting for Castano but I learned a long time ago to play the match in front of me not the occasion.

 

It is sickening that nearly every non-US fighter in a big fight in the US gets screwed. Castano got screwed.

 

Yes, and even the corrupt judge had Castano winning the 9th.
