I had Castaño losing the last 3 rounds. And I can see Charlo winning two of the earlier rounds. A draw is a stretch, but all they have to do is give an extra round to Charlo and you have a draw. Castaño won this fight 8-4/7-5ish. If he had kept the momentum going, instead of giving up the last 3 rounds, two of the judges would have scored the fight for him easily. Castaño is partially to blame for this draw.
I scored it a draw, but ill admit that some of the close rounds I scored for Charlo could have easily gone the other way. If there was a winner tonight, it’s Castano, especially since his rounds were much more dominant
117-111 or 116-112 Castano are the only plausible scores tonight. 155-113 if you're stretching reality to the absolute breaking point.
This fight was close. The rounds Charlo won he seemed more dominant. Castano had the much cleaner work. I though Castano was going down though. Overall I thought Castano eeked it out barley. I was expecting a Charlo decision being in TX.
The whole 10-8 round thing was weird too. Of all the fights to bust one of those out! Every round had back and forth traffic, no KD 10-8s are so rare, this fight had no round so dominated by either that it was worth it.
All fights should be held in Neutral territory like Antarctica or Macchu Picchu to avoid any robberies.
Emm the 10th i think, the late round where he repeatedly rocked Castano and Brian was back-peddling the whole round.
I had 7-5 castano and that’s being generous to Charlo. I gave him round 2 and the last 3 rounds although one of them could of went to castano. I forget the other round I gave him. But yes castano won and the 9-3 card for Charlo is disgusting. Home fighters usually American are getting the benefit of the call more than ever - it’s a major issue with the sport.
