Nelson Vazquez, the judge who had Charlo winning 9-3 last night is a straight up crook!

It was an audition and he passed he will now be one of the judges for Canelos next fight.

 

Wouldn't you just love to watch a replay of this fight with that judge and his score card and have him explain why he gave Charlo rounds that a blind man could see he lost. This was not incompetence,,it was bought and paid for corruption.

That would be the way to go. Accoutability. Taking it another step. Use 9 judges to score and only and blindly pull 3 cards out to be read. Something has got to be done. We all knew something bad was going to happen if it went to the judges. Fans clsmaiming a draw is ridculous too. No draw, no 114-113 for Castano. Charlo won 3 rounds maybe 4 if your generous. Anymore than that is pure nutthuggary.

 

That was brutal! Word is Canelo’s team reached out and has hired him to judge all future Canelo fights. They like his style.

 

Why doesnt the State Commission jump on these blatantly biased cards ?? They see it happening & ignore it.
I think the reason could be explained when Bob Bennett was asked " Are you going to ask Adelaide Byrd to explain her notorious 118-110 card"? Bennett's answer apparantly was " Adelaide is one of my best judges. Maybe she just had a bad night ,laughed & said No I wont be investigating" Makes you wonder doesnt it

 

The excuse would be "from my vantage point that's the way it looked. On TV it may be judged differently".

In a more perferct world, they should have body cams and have the judges for controversial scorings have to sit through a panel with other judges and a commison and give their round by round assessment. Afterwards, the panel decides to ban the judge for life on if he should judge another fight again or clear him of any shenanigans. There should also be yearly or every other year mandatory training with these judges to renew their judging licenses.

 

To add on to this, there should be a stringent certified judging comission. Think WADA or VADA (I can't remember which one is considered more legitimate) which trains and certifies judges for title fights with complaints taken as seriously as someone failing a drug test.

 

VADA is only about peds tests.
refs and judges are approved by pro or am boxing org, be this WBC, WBO or IBF or WBA.
ref does have one business, judges: another business: to score rounds on cards.
Then there is athletic comminsion in each country etc.boxers licences etc.
fights inspectors.timekeeper etc.

 

If you can't stand boxing so much then why do you post here so much? Boxing forums are for people who love boxing warts and all. No one ever said the sport is perfect, and ya'll have every right to be suspicious of that judge. My thing is just don't get carried away with it. One judge by himself can't spoil a match, that's why boxing is designed to have 3 judges. The other two judges had it right, and that's what matters.

 

If that's the case then Canelo could be robbed if this guy is judging Canelo vs Plant, he could have it 117-111 Plant the PBC fighter after a Canelo schooling.
