Loma would do far better than AJ judging by these kicks:

Yeah I've seen that video before but I've never actually seen anything else of Pele Reid.

I know Ray Sefo got knocked out in 1 round in like 30 seconds by some guy called Chester Hughes and never boxed again.

Mark Hunt was another one who was praised for his hands but Sefo beat him in a great fight which they mostly boxed in and Hunt's boxing record is 0-2-1.

Mike Bernardo had an 11-1-1 record in boxing and knocked out top heavyweight kickboxers like Peter Aerts and Andy Hug on more than one occasion.

Don Wilson had a 75-5-2-3 record and known as possible the best American Kickboxer ever and had a boxing record of 4-2 and got knocked out early by two boxers whose records were 2-10 and 10-13.

Obviously their have been people like Carl Thompson who started as a Muay Thai fighter who fought Branko Cikatic twice the went on to win the WBO version of the Cruiserweight Championship.

James Warring also started off as a kickboxer beating Vitlai Klitschko, fighting Peter Aerts in K1 and fought in an MMA tournament in the 90's. He won the IBF Cruiserweight Championship in the fastest time a World Championship has changed hands of I remember correctly.

Matt Skelton while never going past Domestic level in boxing started off by having a good career in Muay Thai/Kickboxing.

Plenty of the Thai World Champions where Muay Thai fighters before they boxed too.

I don't know how much success he'd find, but Nikolay Valuev vs. Gabi Garcia or Bob Sapp would be the quintessential Japanese freakshow that Rizin would book for their sh1tty New Year's Eve events.

Yes Pele Reid`s boxing career didn`t get anywhere and used to where a skirt in the ring
he was a Brendan Ingle fighter while Ingle was Hamed`s trainer so he tried to use Hamed`s awkward style.

In Kickboxing the boxer needs to have power and come forward constantly which is why I think Tyson, Marciano, Frazier, Foreman etc Would of been perfect for it but I still think they would of picked up losses along the way as compared to guys who fought on the outside like Ali, Holmes, Lewis, Wlad etc Them staying on the outside would of been perfect for guys like Hoost, Bonjasky, Schilt, Verhoeven etc

To be fair, The Shannon Briggs fight was against Tom Erikson who wasn't really a kickboxer per say, he was a very good Wrestler that did pretty good in the early days of MMA then just did some K1 for some extra money, he wasn't good at stand up. If it was a street fight or MMA fight I have no doubt he would of took Briggs down with ease and beat him like he did with Matt Skelton just before Skelton went into boxing after he had been a Kickboxer/Muay Thai fighter.

Modern day? Probably Loma, TJ Dillashaw said that he's a good grappler. Maybe Duran? Not sure how good his grappling was, but his inside fighting gives him a better chance than most other boxers.

If you go further back in time, you'll see more boxers that would perform well since grappling was a key part of the sport. This is especially present in the bare knuckle era.
