Ok heres what I understand happened. Toney gets a Split Decision over Batchelder and then he tests positive for roids. But also Batchelder does too. BUT instead of the logical outcome happening (a no contest,, c'mon both tested positive for the juice,,definite no contest to me) Toney still gets the Split Decision. Um why it that?

Good question. I guess the fight had no significance, thus the outcome was never revised. The only thing I hope is that Toney checked for roids after the fight with Rahman and if caught banned for life.

Probably there should be some special board meeting to change the fight outcome and since nobody gives **** then they just save money and don't wast e their precious time

Should have been a no contest...but if its James Toney the rules don't apply. See his two steroid positive test suspension reductions as evidence. James Toney equals fat, steroid using, racist loud mouth who isn't even a top ten heavyweight with the steroids.

Yes, it was a bit of an odd one that I can only guess they left because they didn't think Batchelder was worth changing it for. That's gotta hurt!

If the winner fails a drug test it's an NC.
If fact, is it an NC if either guy fails a test...?

My understanding is that usually when both fighters test positive for a steroid, it oftentimes means that the actual test was flawed. That is what happened with RJJ-Hall...both tested positive, they retested and RJJ was clean.

i can see if they both retested(or one did) and results were good but i never heard about any retesting....in fact Toney served out a 6 month(or longer dont recall) suspension for the positive test correct?? but no no contest along with that?

Remember that this was Toney's second failed test as well (the former from the Ruiz fight).
