It makes no sense to restrict the term "new 4 kings" to the lightweight division when the actual 4 kings ranged from lightweight to middleweight . So instead of your Garcia, Haney, Tank, and Teo, who are your real 4 kings based on future potential regardless of weight? I got Ennis, Teo, Lubin, Tank.
Honestly, the only 4 kings of this modern era is the Superfly Four: Chocalatito Gonzalez, Juan Francisco Estrada, Sor Rungvisai, and Carlos Cuadras. They all fought each other and gave "Fight of the Year"-level performances. I can't call fighters like Tank, Teo, Haney, Garcia or even Ennis and Lubin "new 4 kings" until they all fight each other which might not be likely.
Ennis Ortiz Jr Tim Tzyu maybe. and for a lightweight moving up like Duran maybe Haney or Garcia. Can't see Teo or Tank doing well at 154 and up, but Garcia and Haney have bigger frames. There aren't really any young middleweight prospects I know of to be the Hagler of this fab four so I just went with A 154 lber.
I'd agree with this. I think Teo would prolly do better at 147 compared to Garcia/Haney, but Garcia should have the larger frame for 154 although I've heard from good sources he's a lot shorter than he lists so I'm not too sure if he could cut it at anything above 147 either. I honestly don't see any of the three going above 154 which has its own stacked list of prospects.
You'll be disappointed placing your trust in Lubin, dude can't fight well off the ropes and is visibly uncomfortable to throw a punch with his back near the ropes , his best work is in the center of the ring. His chin isn't the best either.
So far I do think lubin is the most promising prospect at the moment. I think his chin issues are overstated as it was a point black punch from Charlo that likely hit a nerve cluster. That being said, I am also high on Conwell and from what I've seen so far, I'd guess that he'd have a higher ceiling than living but I'd like to see him against tougher opposition for me to make a more certain conclusions. I think deluca is a good first step
Haven't seen too much of him, but I like him as well. The reason I put lubin is that he has had the toughest opposition by far out of all the young 154s, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone like madrimov, tszyu, or Cornwell passes him as lubin does have obvious flaws
Another BS. Why 4 ? 90% of modern fighters are Divas. Social media ruined their lives. It's really sad that they want all the glory and money, without fighting good opponents back to back. they talk a lot, but not fight a lot.
No way have Garcia or Haney got the kill level to figt as well as Duran did at the higer weights and Haney doesn`t have Duran`s power, he couldn`t have stopped a 154lbs fighter like Moore or floored a strong 160lbs world champ like Barkley, Haney only has 10 KO`s at 135, he can`t punch.
Yea, I don't see haney catching Teo at any weight. And frankly, Haney and Garcia are probably on the same tier below Teo.
I'm sorry it came off this way, but this isn't to compare it to the actual 4 kings as i doubt any new boxers can come near, but more to share which young up and coming boxers are ones to watch.
