Not the most anticipated, but ones that actually delivered in the ring on fight night. And let's set the qualifying criteria as three good fights on the card. Which shows would you go back in time to be at?
Duran-Viruet 2 Duran-DeJesus 3 Duran-Brooks Weaver-Holmes Duran-Leonard Duran-Moore Duran-Hagler Holmes-Snipes Holmes Winterspoon Hearns-Benitez Holmes-Ali Holmes-Shavers 2 Holmes-Ocasio Lopez-O'Grady Ali-Spinks 2
Hearns-Benitez was pretty good. Only had an all-time great war on the undercard, and a damn good tactical match for a main event.
BoxRec: Event 6 future HOFers - including Greb vs Walker as the main event. How can you go wrong with that?
This one has to be up there McClellan vs Jackson 2 Brown vs Norris 2 Azumah Nelson vs Leija 2 JCC vs Randall 2 Under card featured Ricardo Lopez, Meldrick Taylor, Giovanni Parisi, Calvin Grove in separate bouts Also a shutout to Tyson vs Holyfield 1 Tyson vs Holyfield Akinwande vs Zolkin Michael Moored vs Frans Botha Ricardo Lopez on the undercard. And a shout out to Trinidad Camacho Trinidad vs Camacho Chavez vs Randall 1 (what an upset!) Simon Brown vs Troy Waters Undercard in separate bouts featuring Tommy Hearns Meldrick Taylor Giovanni Parisi Razor Ruddock Tim Austin Terron Millet Christy Martin
November 30th 1979. We had Hagler-Furmo 1, Marvin Johnson - Victor Galindez & SRL -Benitez all on free TV
this is an interesting question that would constitute a small book/booklet on Boxing... there must have been some UNBELIEVABLE array of Fight Cards over time, think of Music Posters from the 60s & 70s, with absolutely Great Rock Bands from then and still - all time Classic Bands. Pictures of the Programs, Bills & Flyers, the Newspaper Adds, and of course Fight Reports here and there throught the History from these Cards... But ONLY the absolute most unbelivable Greatest Bills & Fight Cards in History. I'd buy it!
