Specifically what he did in his fights post Buster Douglas right through Francois Botha. How do you rate him as a fighter?

Wins over Tillman, Stewart, Ruddock x2, Mcneely, Mathis Jr., Bruno, Seldon and Botha.

    Losses to Holyfield x2.

Overall he rode the line between very good and still great up to Holyfield. Wasn't the head to head monster he was in the 80s but he still had a mix of very good wins along with the less than stellar performances we saw. Still being able to beat most of the top guys in the 90s should count for a lot even though he wasn't going to beat the very best, the best being Holyfield and Lewis. Obviously arguments can be made how he'd do against Foreman, too.

Depends what part of the 90s. Tokyo Tyson, '91 Tyson, post-prison Tyson, and post-suspension Tyson were all very different fighters.

    Right on point, my friend.

Overall I put 90s Tyson a step below Holyfield, 1992 Bowe, and Lewis.

I put him above Holmes and Morrison, Tua, Briggs, Moorer, Hide, and of course Bentt.

Not sure on 90s Foreman. Mike was significantly less explosive, more cautious. I imagine the pre-prison Mike could have beat the Foreman of that time.

I'm not so sure the big guy who lost to Holyfield (to roughly around Moorer) would lose to post-prison Tyson. Mike wouldn't have changed his strategy like Morrison did, and I daresay he wouldn't have been as evasive as Holyfield (not as active in general).

So, jury's out on post-prison Mike vs. 1992-1994 Foreman. Mike still would have pretty much played into Foreman's hands (and please folks, Mike doesn't fight anything like Alex Stewart or Holyfield, nowhere near the same). He couldn't have intimidated George, and he would have been just as susceptible to the uppercut as always...which might prove his end.

Late 90's Tyson post Holyfield had really started losing interest in boxing.

This is true, but even in 2000 he battered Golota who was a pretty good fighter. So the absolute worst version of 90's Tyson was still a top 10 fighter, the 90-96 version likely only loses to a few fighters. I would be curious to see how the Tyson from the first Holy fight would deal with a game but limited fighter like Ray Mercer.

Golota had a tendency to choke in big fights. He was a mental midget.

True, but it's not a stretch to imagine this Tyson stopping Grant, Maskaev, Rahman, etc.

    I could definitely see that.
