Espn, Showtime, and PBC have been hurting the sport for the past several years. Too many fights are not being made due to politics, fighters refusing to fight because they want more money and use the whole political issue to justify avoiding fights. The major networks giving these fighters PPV headlines, even though they aren't worthy of it. Tank, Ruiz, Crawford, Spence etc, are not PPV fighters. Their numbers illustrate that.

When I was in high school I use to like Al Haymon because he made boxing free again. I use to defend him against haters, saying he's saving the sport. Well, it's 2021, and I should have listened to those haters. Haymon is the plague of the sport, in the same boat with Bob Arum. They keep spamming these PPV fights left and and right, with shitty undercards and terrible judging results. Trying to force top fighters into long-term contracts so they can keep them under their network. It's disgusting and criminal.

I mean come on, Spence/Pacquaio, Canelo/Plant(Canelo forced to be on PPV), Wilder/Fury, Joshua/Usk. All on PPV? That's way too many, which causes fans to priate instead or not watch it at all.

Dazn has major problems, and I understand that. Their commentating team needs work, and their streaming quality can be improved. It's practically a new streaming service, compared to other platforms. Give it time.
What makes Dazn great is the pricing. They don't use a PPV Model, they broadcast many types of fights such as super series tournaments, give female fighters opportunities to showcase their talent.

What boxing needs is a single platform to broadcast all its fights. Look at baseball, hockey, football, and basketball. They all have a single subscription to be able to watch all the sports teams. It's a fair price value for fans to get their money's worth, and also affordable for casuals to get into the sport.

Were as boxing their is like 8 or 9 different platforms to watch fights. And some of the platforms like ESPN try to triple charge to watch a single fight. Stuff like this scares consumers and not want to watch the sport at all.

If all fights can be on Dazn for a price tag of $149.99 or $199.99 for a full year, I can guarantee the sport can be brought back to life. And maybe there can be one PPV card where all the top fighters fight at the end of the year.

Dazn is the future, where Top Rank, PBC, and showtime are holding the sport back.

    DAZN are fine

Fan boys gonna follow their favourite promotion and moan put down the competition

I mean PBC fan boys were having meltdowns more than any when they started, it was painful to watch them

Only thing i absolutely can not stand on DAZN is 99 per cent of presenters and shows

    All useless cucks/hacks

Do they get a lot of hate?

The commentary team is a disaster and I absolutely ****ing hate the 3/4 bird's eye angle that they love, but otherwise, I don't hate DAZN.

My biggest issue w/ DAZN is the streaming quality. Too much lag at time. Not to mention. I miss being able to pause the fights.

Because when you had HBO doing higher quality shows in every department, nearly 20 years ago, you start to see how half assed some of DAZN's production value is.

I think it's critical for the future of the sport for boxing to be on network TV and/or basic cable otherwise no one will discover the sport.

My only issue with DAZN (besides the presence of Chris Mannix) are these content droughts. I think Zurdo was the only fight they aired in July? That's ridiculous.

I'm not asking for Canelo every week, more like grabbing something from Asia or Latin America and throwing some English commentary on it. That can't be too expensive can it?

Hate is the strong word, but dislike is coming because they are biased, Have army of fanboys that praise ONE promoter like he is a GOD.

2021 is worst year for them. Even PBC had better fights this year.

They aren't great at getting big fights made themselves.

Best value for money out there in terms of the sport of boxing. There are daily interviews with boxers, repeats of past fights,
and don't forget the snooker matches.

I haven't watched a fight in entirety on DAZN, that shitty camera angle takes so much out of the fight aesthetics and info, you just can't appreciate the footwork and angles with that camera hanging from Tom Cruise's scrotum.

For me a bad camera angle is the worst boner killer while watching a fight, even amateur boxing contests have a better sense of camera positioning than DAZN.

All they have to is watch and learn from HBO fights about positioning and angles , how hard is that ?

Max Kellerman's commentary on HBO was always awful, worse than anyone on DAZN (although Chris Mannix is bad).

The introduction of the grey canvas is the second greatest innovation in the sport in the last 50 years. The greatest being the WBSS.

That being said, I don't recall seeing it for a while so I do hope they haven't phased it out because that would be stupid beyond words.

    It looks gorgeous
