Cheeseburger backed out and Ward didn't want 168 after he'd gone to 175. Who else is there? They are all average at best. Plant is a belt holder which tells you all you need to know about 168. I suppose you could count the 4lb concession he gave to Rolls to fight at 164 as technically SMW.
thats still an entire division left. he didnt have to fight a star to build his legacy. you probably had no idea who barrios was before tank fought him, but he still enhances tanks standing. same would have happened for ggg. at least it would have been a bigger challenge than he was used to dealing with.
I disagree. There's nobody at SMW (except Canelo himself and maybe Benavidez) that I rate over guys like Derevyanchenko, Jacobs, Murata etc. MW is the deep end until you get to 175.
youre saying those guys you listed could go up to 168 and beat everyone there except canelo and benavidez? if not, then how the hell are they a tougher challenge?
Absolutely idiotic post, dumb kid. Ass beat? LOL, Clenbuterol is your idol, get this, you get your ass owned by him dumbass. LOL.
His career went out with a whimper. He was never willing to challenge himself. Stayed in a barren division his entire career.
Small? He didn't look smaller than Canelo to me, either height wise or sheer build wise, and Canelo moved up quite comfortably to 168...then to 175. So, I don't think he would be unduly affected.
I didn't say he was per se, I argued that he isn't "small" and that if Canelo was able to move up to LHW, beating SMWs along the way, then I see no reason GGG can't move to 168 and be competitive.
GGG was one of the worst handled fighters of this generation AFTER Crawford. He stayed too long in the amateurs and he never had any significant legacy making fights other then the Clen shams which I thought he won. He’s almost 40 and cashing out where he can because he’s all but done. I like GGG he’s a good person and was a helluva fighter but unfortunately he was not handled properly and it has put question marks in his name when he had all the potential to be an atg middleweight.
Golovkin isn't a small middleweight. He's an averaged sized middleweight. Middleweight had some junior middleweights posing as middleweights and super middleweight had some middleweights posing as super middleweights. Ryoto Murata, Danny Jacobs and Derevyanchenko aren't better than a prime DeGale, Froch and Groves. All three of those in the middleweight division are overrated and flawed. Danny Jacobs is no different to Caleb Plant. He might be worse considering he can't throw a clean jab and seems to have degressed recently since moving up in weight. Murata has only fought european level guys. If you're gonna slate Andrade for his resume at least do the same to Murata. If Golovkin only had one fight at 168 it would be more memorable than the majority of his fights outside of Canelo at 160. It's not his fault he could not get Martinez, Pirog and Cotto in the ring. I do think he could have tested himself a bit more but it's not his fault. His management team at least got him two to three big paydays. I don't think Golovkin is immune to any criticism and neither is any fighter. If Froch was actually really up for fighting Golovkin then that fight should have happened in some capacity. Golovkin had a stellar amateur career and beat two decent opponents in in the pros he officially beat Daniel Jacobs and Sergiy Deryvyanchenko. He's likely to beat Murata by knockout in my opinion also. That might be considered a good win, too.
Andrade is just business belt unlike Murata, it is what it is here. Jacobs had been finished only by " nobody " in Pirog ( most likely cos not from proper country LOL ). Nor Business Brand Canelo Idol nor GGG had finished him in distance so yeah, he was better than BJS for example and for sure without any bare doubts.
