I agree, although he started very poorly and unnecessarily ate too many punches.

In response to UKboxingfan, Wilder would be easy work. Wilder wouldn't handle with Joyce's weight let alone boxing ability. Only a bingo or roulette punch would be a tactic and that wouldn't work

At least Joe Joyce brings something different inside and outside of the ring. He hardly looked sophisticated in there tonight and he still thoroughly outclassed Takam. No wonder he has never beaten anybody and gets paid based on his hypertrophic physique - the guy's absolutely crap.

I like Joyce and enjoy watching him fight but at the top level at some point taking all those shots are going to take their toll.

If that was usyk instead of takam tonight I reckon he gets stopped

Joyce is gonna come a cropper at some point. Only getting away with it cause these guys are 40 years old....and their powers gone. No ones as strong at 40 than they we,re at 30. Same with the stamina.

    He keeps winning tho tbf.

Now all of the talk must stop of Tickling Takam being any good.

Takam vs Dave Allen is more his level. And he probably wouldn't even beat Dave Allen

    Certainly was mate.

Joe Joyce has walked through huge punches his whole career and he is ready for Tony Dosh PPV.

Joyce is the closest fighter style wise to George Foreman but even more cumbedsome.
He needs to study Foreman and push fighters off him when in close to create distance and square them up before unleashing his own uppercuts and power shots, it would work a treat for him.

I was thinking the same mate. He's like a slow Foreman, albeit much bigger.

For the record I had Joyce winning every round - Takam had the odd McFlurry but Joyce never in any danger.

Hope he gets his deserved chance of fighting for the World Title in his next fight.

Which could be negated if he did the right things, he has decent timing but needs to use his size and natural strength more.

Foreman man handled fighters throughout his career and pushed them back to offset them, a few tweaks here and there and he could be much better.

I don't care how good your chin is, taking clean shots like that will take their toll at some point.

I think he causes AJ big problems should they fight, I wouldn't count on it ever happening mind.
