Pac was dropped by Marquez prior to getting brutally stopped...

Admittedly Pacquaio came on incredibly well following the knockdown and had Marquez on the verge of being stopped. But it doesn't change the fact he was indeed dropped.

Pac wasn't prime. Margarito had already beaten it out of him.

This fight scares me. I don’t want Manny to get retired in brutal fashion. His gas tank was clearly a problem vs Thurman and Thurman doesn’t apply near the same level of pressure.

I really don't see a lot of similarity between Spence and Beterbiev, besides being big for their division and having belts.

Spence has won three decisions in a row and was not looking to stop DSG. A lot of differences in their style and careers.

man, to me this fight could go eitherway. i could see pac being too fast of foot and hand or people underestimating spence distance, range and timing. Im glad they made this fight over crawford. Crawford is gonna spark porter and earn the winner of this fight.

    Dude, just stop.

I'm a huge Pacquaio fan, as I am a Mayweather fan and a Marquez fan. But this **** that you do to try and bring weight to justifying and excusing losses is embarrassing.

You do realise all these cross over theories that you do twist a narrative ends up contradicting yourself?

    Huh?

Margarito put a beating on Pac. Pac had to walk through fire and brimstone for the win. The fight changed him.

No, it didn't. I along with everyone else knows what you're trying to do. Stop.

You're trying to compare Spence with the Margarito that fought Pacquiao. In doing so, you have 2 avenues to push.
    1. You will claim that Pacquiao will destroy Spence like he did Margarito and claim it is the biggest win in history
    2. If Pacquiao loses to Spence, you have a backup to say 'well, what did you expect, Pacquiao is well beyond his prime. If he fought Spence ins in his prime, like he did Margarito, he would have won'.
It's no different to you making threads like 'Manny is slowing down, looks slow on the mitts', so if he loses to Spence the excuse cards have already been filled out. Not surprisingly, exactly the same as what boxing_master used to do, and eltirado, and MVC!

I think the Margarito fight was the end of Pacs true true prime, and that it took the last bit of genuine special 'it' from him in that fight. It took a lot out of him, imo.

That has nothing to do with the Spence fight for me. In fact, Ive been saying it for years.

I think its overlooked how hard that was on Pac.

Marquez was in no way closer to being stopped than he was in the first round of their first fight. Pac had 3 Kd's and still couldn't seal the deal.

Marquez was just too good and too tough for Pac.

So Pac isn't 42 years old, the much smaller fighter, coming off of a 2 year layoff, and fighting a guy in his prime who's much bigger and 10 years younger?

A prime Pac would carve Spence up and stop him.

And you're a ****ing moron if you can't/don't see how savage and brutal the Margarito fight was. Even Pac said that he was "lucky" that he "survived" the Margarito fight.

And you do realize that most people are picking Spence to blow Pac away based on Pac's age, size, and layoff, right? It ain't because Pac is prime!

If Pac wins, it's one of the greatest victories ever.

If Spence wins, it's because Pac is old, inactive, and way past his expiration date.

This isn't MY narrative. It's THE narrative of the fight.

So take your dumb stupid ass elsewhere if you lack the reasoning and intelligence to see the realities of this fight.

I was gonna like this post until I saw the Cotto disrespect :ohno

Back to the topic: Spence is a very bad opponent for an older, smaller guy. He's extremely consistent, body and head, he can't really be out muscled etc........This spells a potential disaster for Pac. I want Pac to lose if for no other reason than he needs to retire and punch his ticket to Canastota. He deserves the rest.

    Don't forget too chemically-enhanced.

And you could say Pac is too good and too tough for Roidquez to keep down. Almost a decade later after the roided nuke, Pac is fighting the number #1 welterweight in the world. Meanwhile, Roidquez couldn't overcome the stress and abuse of PEDs on his body and is looking to have an exhibition with Cotto.

    ;)
